No breed of dog has a period it is called a heat and it last 21 days and unlike people this is the time they can be bred.
Have your dog fixed or plan on this every 6 months and more possability of cancer.

Dogs don't have periods they have heats... heats usually last about 3 weeks, with the fertile period being 3-4 days somewhere in the middle.

all females are in heat for 21 days the bleeding will stop in 7-10 days but keep away from males the whole 21 days also they come in every 6 months

im not quite sure...i know my friend's pomerianian has her period for about a couple days
