Do your research about the breed before bringing them home. They are trully a handful! They are the worst for having the bad apple in the bunch.

Thats a yorkie I believe (could possibly be silky terrier)
I suggest reading up on the breed then deciding if its right for you
try www.petfinder.com to look at adoptable dogs
or find a reputable breeder
never buy from petstores those pups are from puppy mills (google if you dont know what that is) and are often very sick

Added: The petshops get their puppies from puppy mills and reputable breeders wont post ads in the paper. Puppymill pups are not very healthy and usually have problems until the day they die, they arent bred to better the breed so just bc a dog is registered doesnt mean it is a quality puppy.

that's a T-cup Yorkie. Just to let you know you won't find one in a shelter. Those dogs cost up to $2000, very very pricey. If someone wanted to get rid of it...they'd sell it. You can look up and then contact local breeders in your area (it's better if the dog isn't shipped) and compare prices. Most breeders will accept a deposit to give you time to come up with the money. I had to do that with my maltese so don't feel bad if you think you can't afford it. Hope this helps!

Yep it's definitely a yorkie. It's so cute!
I ask that you please rescue one from an animal rescue/shelter.
If you try hard, and can't find one then find a breeder.
Definitely not a pet shop unless you are willing to pay more just to get the puppy out of pet-store h*ll.
They are way more expensive from pet shops, but they aren't treated very well.
So if you want a good pet, get one from a breeder.
Oh, and the AKC website is www.akc.org not .com :-))

Ohh cute! It is a Yorkie. You can go to www.akc.com and search for Yorkie breeders in your area. Yorkies are cute and are a good choice for a first time dog owner!
