We aren't "giving up on him" We just need sleep and we are so stressed!

Take him to the vet and make sure that everything is ok and then try to get him back on a routine.

He's still a puppy and still needs training. I don't think that the vets could spoil him to the point where he's forgotten everything he's been taught in 2 days. He just had surgery, you just need to be paitent and work with him. Like I said he's still a puppy and is still learning how he's suppose to act in the house.

Why would you give up so easy. Give him a chance to get accustom to his environment he felt abandon after leaving him in the vet for whatever time you left him there. Jesus, imagine if your mother had giving up on you when you was 2 years old. The puppy needs bonding/training. He's recovering from a major surgery in dog world.

If his behaviour is really really out of the ordinary you should take him back to the vet, any follow up after a surgery is free. Maybe he is feeling some discomfort and it's his way of telling you something is wrong.
