Our Golden Retriever pup was just spayed about 4 days ago and seemed to be doing well after the surgery.
This morning she had a hard time getting up and felt like she had a fever and threw up a few times... is this normal? The vet said she shouldn't be sore and that she was fine when he saw her last... this answer made me feel very uncomfortable. She is having a hard time laying down and getting up and going outside is hard for her to squat to go to the bathroom and also to get up the stairs after she is done.. the site of the surgery looks ok... it is not hot and swollen or anything but I cant figure out what might be happening to her.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Because my 2 shih-tzus are spoiled and don't listen very well when i try to teach them not to jump on people, not to growl at me and not to use the bathroom in the house. I have had them since they were 6 weeks and they are now 13 weeks and nothing is working, i am being consistent when i tell them things but they are just not getting it What should i do? And someone told me i should spank them but that is out of the question.

There's an old neglected cat walking around in my neighbourhood. Does anybody recognize these symptoms ?
- dry cough
- swallows very oft
- has diarea
- extremely thin
- hardly any theeth
- terrible looking fur

I think I will take him to a vet, I'm just curious about what he could have and what the costs will be. Could he have astma ? Or a throat infection ?
Thank you

i have a 14 month old labrador a girl, she is well trained but i often wonder if it would be nice for her to hve a play mate as i have read things about how two dogs are better then one. i want another labrador a male . i have asked my dad and i know he would say yes if my mum did but she says no because she has to get up in the mornings to bring the dog in that we already have. i would do it but she still says no .how can i convience her to let me get one?

Now I let the cats sniff each other out for a couple of days and now I have let them see each other but the kitten ran under the coach and my older cat went under there too and Im wondering if they will kill each other as I cant get to them. If they do scrap.
Im wondering if anyone one knows about the situation I am in and if I can get any suggestions. Will the kitty be ok interacting with my older cat.
Details my older cat is male and two years old and the kitten is female and about7 to 8 months old. Please only responses of people that have two cats and how they introduced them together and how things went.

He still continues to pee on her, but she had always been the only one. Today someone came to the house and while standing in the foyer he peed on him.
He is a 1 year old black lab.

He went to the toilet in his tray this morning after running round like a mad thing, his toilet was clear but there was a tiny amount of blood on his fur afterwards - could this be a reaction to his microchip or the fact that he is now eating proper food (was a stray) he was de-wormed twice by the society before we collected him! Any one have any advice, I have 4 children and don't want them to be in danger of catching anything - I'll obviously take him to the vet for a check-up but any advice before hand would be great.
Thanks

When people have WAY to many guinea pigs and other rodents, they cannot give them enough attention or love. I mean seriously, I would limit myself to 4 pigs, and I only have 2. I wouldn't EVER have like 10 of them! I mean once you count up the amount of food, vet bills, ect., don't you think its a bit obsessive/ creepy? Its like a old lady with like 22 cats... they end up breeding and you have sooo many others to take care of that they have babies upon babies upon babies! Not only that, but imagine how stinky the house must be! Also, if you have kids, they sure as hell won't help! Any one else agree? I mean its cute and all with all those fuzzy bodies but could you imagine if you had to find a place for them to stay when you, god forbid, have a vacation or a meeting?

my puppy is only about a month and a half old.. I dont know if I should take it out or is it better for her to play indoors?

Is it harmful if I take her for a ride in the car or to the park?

BTW she doesnt wear a leash yet only a collar but she follows me around or I carry her.

i have a 6 month old puppy named roxy. She's a really good dog but i just cant seem to get her potty trained, ive tried everything! and i moved into place that will only let me take her out at night, but as far as during the day, i dont know what to do because im sure she has to go at least once every hour or so. so now the lady im staying with is trying to make me get of her and i really dont want to, i mean i love that dog! and right now im having her go in our laundry room which is lenolium (spelling?)...still isnt good but its better then on the carpet where it could stain...even though she goes on the carpet once in a great while.... What do i do!!!???? I dont want to get rid of my dog!
