Hi I was wondering if a puggle is right for me (12) and my parents. I have a sister that is nine also. Here are some questions:

1. are they to hyper to handle?
2. when they are older is it hard to pick up?
3. do they let you pick them up without fussing around?
4. do they howl a lot?
Thank you so much. But I have 1 more thing for people that don't have puggles. They are real dogs look them up and you'll find it on google.

My cat just gave birth behind our entertainment center. I made a place for her, but I miscalculated when she was do. She didn't have time to nest there. How long should I wait before moving mommy and babies? They are difficult to get to and I'm afraid of moving them separately. Does anyone have any suggestions

I adopted a kitten from a rescue agency two weeks ago, and since then, my kitten (14 weeks now) has had little seizures. When she gets startled or is even just taking a rest, she'll all of a sudden start shaking and have saliva foaming up by her mouth. She cowards down and it usual is over in about two minutes. Have you ever heard of this? I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I just was curious if you had any ideas??? It has happened approximately eight times that I've witnessed.

Around here in all the small towns people just go around shooting cats and kittens, becase there are too many or they think they are pest. They will also do the same with dogs once in a while but not as often just as a way to get rid of them. The things is there is really nothing we can do because there are no humane soceitys or shelters the closest one is 30 miles away and they only have a 15 mile radius and the cops just ignore the complaints. We and my freinds have been saveing wild kittens out on a farm just because the lady is going to shoot them for no reason and it happens all the time. Got other ideas, and what do you think about these situations and what the people do?

Some of my zebra finches escaped, I feel terrible. :( They left behind 3 babies. They have not fledged yet, but they have all their feathers. So far I've had them for a day and a night.

I'm at least trying to keep them alive, instead of just leaving them. Here's what I'm doing, please tell me if I'm doing it okay or if I'm completely wrong (I have NO experience with this sort of thing!).

I feed them once every 4 hours. I'm using Avione Hand Rearing Formula.

They are in a shoe box with the lid open a crack. there is paper towel and a tea towel on the bottom, and they are in a plastic container with tissues and feathers. I put a shot glass of water in there for humidity or whatever, not sure if it's working.

After phoning 7 pet stores, a pharmacy, a vet and an electrical store, I had no luck finding a heat pad so I put the shoe box on my electric blanket with the setting on low.

We've had a fish tank for over a year and all the fish were doing great. We had a total of 6 different fish in the tank for the last year and about 3-4 days ago we added an algae eater to the tank and he stuck to the glass and did his thing. Well now it's been 4 days with the new algae eater and came home from work to my kids crying that all the fish were dead except 2 but those 2 shuld be on the way out cuz they are swimming around faster and crazier than they usually do and the ones that died were acting like that a few days before they died. Is that normal for fish to act like that before they die? Would an algae eater be the cause of the dealth of the 5 fish? Any ideas?

My mum and dad always smoke in the house.. always! even in the summer, and we have a german shepard dog and his fur REEKS of the stuff! I feel sorry for him, because when i smell it.. its so bad i have to hold my breathe when walking past them. But the dog has a much better sence of smell, so it must be really bad for him! Iv'e told them time and time again to please take it else where or give up because its effecting all of us in so many ways that you wouldnt think of! and its really selfish of u!, and i get told to get lost, its there house they will do what they want, and if i dont like it i should move out! i mean.. they smoke the stuff everyday so they should be the experts on the damage right!?

How can this smoking effect the dog?
Will he get seriously ill?

Hi. I run a mastiff group in my area with almost 60 members now. One of our members with a beautiful 5 month old English Mastiff puppy named Solomon was just diagnosed today with mild to moderate hip displasia. He was bought from a breeder in CA and was from champion lines with a 2 yr health guarantee. How should these owners react to this vis a vis the breeder and what should they do to support their pup? How does this happen? And how often does it happen with reputable breeders? I have a feeling my group will now panic a bit about their own pups and I have had a pang for my own. I realize hip problems go with the breed but when you pay for champion lines and research for a great breeder paying for health guarantees, it just seems tragic. Any suggestions as to how to help the owners, my group, deal with the breeder or medical options for Solomon are welcome. Is an operation for his hips worthwhile in this situation?

alright i need to make half of the money for a laptop, buy a maltese all for christmas. i can have family members and friends give me money for christmas and stuff but i mean i dont think it will be enough. Oh, and the problem is i want webkinz charmz, webkinz clothes (in real life they just made it) and some more webkinz as well as webkinz trading cardz! ACK! How can i make all this money? ask for that stuff from family? money from friends and family? start a pet business like babysitting (and babysitting kids?) and dog walking? The first day we brought our beta home, he ate 3.5 pellets (we're feeding him Hikari betta pellets). The next day he ate 1, but today he wouldn't even look at them. This isn't the first beta I've owned, but it's the first one I've had trouble feeding. I know they like blood worms, but I thought those were only supposed to be used as a supplement, so I wanted to get him used to beta pellets first.

Could the water be the problem? I had dechlorinated the water in the tank and followed all the steps you're supposed to follow to acclimate a new fish to a new tank. We had also bought the fish a live plant and he spends a lot of time either hiding behind it or resting in the leaves of the plant. The other thing he does is rest close to the gravel in the tank. He will swim fairly actively around the tank but always heads towards a wall and swims up and down the wall of the tank with his head against the glass.

Any suggestions?? Ideas? or is it too soon to worry?

I have a community tank with several other fish including amnother plec but my new one I've had for about 3 weeks has really really long poo only seeming to break off when another fish moves through it or it snags on a rock. none of the other fish have ever done a poo nearly as long as this.
