how much time should i be spending with my iguana?

i wanna know how much time should i spend my time with my iguana an also when could i start to pick him up an play with him?

If it is young, then short periods of time a couple of times a day is best. Remember, he needs time under the heat and UVB lamps for approx. 12 hours a day, and darkness and rest at night. Depriving him of these things too often can be stressful.
