I adopted a kitten from a rescue agency two weeks ago, and since then, my kitten (14 weeks now) has had little seizures. When she gets startled or is even just taking a rest, she'll all of a sudden start shaking and have saliva foaming up by her mouth. She cowards down and it usual is over in about two minutes. Have you ever heard of this? I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I just was curious if you had any ideas??? It has happened approximately eight times that I've witnessed.

I have no house plants. There is nothing on her that she would be allergic to. The place I adopted her from did not have her on flea meds yet, and she had her seizures before I took her to get her first set of shots and flea meds. She didn't inhale anything toxic. They've been occuring for two weeks. I am taking her to see the vet tomorrow. I don't think it's just an allergy though.

I don't know why a little cat would start having seizures. There are too many reasons. Please go to the vet. With the proepr treatment your kitten can have a long life and no seizure or limitted.

Eight times is a lot and with proper medication, s/he should not have more than 1 per month. Cat prove your house and do not let your kitten on the sofa or bed, they can easily fall off and hurt even more

By now if you can't afford a vet it would have better luck in the shelter because they would be able to provide it with medical care I usually don't suggest shelters but this kitten is in critical condition if you want to keep it you can always adopt it from the shelter when it's healthy and ready for a home

Sometimes cats can have seizure's because of imbreeding as well. The vet can give your cat pills to try and help. Sometimes treatments wont be able to help out though. You will need to bring it to the vet soon or she could end up with brain damage from the seizures.

Yes, sounds like she's eaten something. Do you have house plants? If so, look at all of them carefully. You would be surprised how many plants are poinsonous to cats. If you find some that have any sort of scratches or bite marks, make sure you let your vet know.
