a sharp quick no!like a mothers yap that gets her attention then take the cushion off her dont just drag at the cushion or she will associate humping it with a tug game sharp quick commands with a disappointed tone not an angry one, will let her know its not what she should be doing but not going to get her any worry or fear shoutting is like an agressive dog barking and dragging it turns it to a game for any command quick and sharp does it xx

It's normal behaviour for both male & female puppies - she's "dominating" the cushion, bless her! Just distract her from doing it by offering her another toy or a game, she'll grow out of it if you don't make a big deal out of it. Spaying won't make any difference to the behaviour. If you are going to have her spayed, wait until after her first season. Labs are a biggish breed & it's better to wait until she is more mature physically & mentally.

It's common for bitches to mount objects etc and is part of the learning process in puppies. Every time she attempts to mount the cushion simply pull her off, tell her no loudly and clearly and if possible put her in another room seperate from you for 5-10mins. She will soon learn that her behaviour is causing her to be ignored and ending attention/play.

Get her spayed, it will cut down on some of it. My male Lab who is neutered still does it sometimes but he does it when he is flustrated. It is usually a dominance thing for dogs when they do tha not so much as a sexual thing. When my Lab does it I tell him no and take away the pillow or blanket and give him something proper to do. Like a toy to chew on one of his chew bones or take him for exercise.

Older canines are additionally reliable with young ones through fact they have experienced extra and are much less easily startled than puppies or youthful adults.
