I know it's best to buy captive bred box turtles, but I cam across two wild caught boxies in a reptile shop living in deplorable conditions. I don't want to contribute to the removing of wild turtles, but I couldn't bear to leave them there either, so I bought them and brought them home. (I have a beautiful habitat I built while I've been waiting to adopt from the CTTC.) Did I do the right thing?

I just got mine today. It was sleeping most the time. When it woke up, we took her outside so she could pee. Now shes is acting kind of wierd by biting things she didn't before. Is the normal husky behavior to bite the carpet, toys, and shes trying to bite me.

We just had to have our beloved Ridgeback put to sleep. He always hated the "vets" office and it made me feel terrible that his last moments would be at a place he hated. Would you use a "housecall" service to put your animal to sleep at your home?? Has anyone ever heard of this type of service?

What are proper things to feed her right now?
I know cow's milk is bad for her.
She looks to be about 4 to 5 weeks old.
She does eat from a syringe, but won't eat from a dish.

Any home remedy suggestions?

My 8 year old pomeranian was accidently left outside last night. This morning, he seemed stiff, and was crying/yelping. However, he seemed fine shortly after. When I took him for a walk this afternoon, he was running around and having fun. We took a short break, and he just fell over and starting yelping/screaming in (what i thought was) pain. I took him home and started to examine him to see where he was sentisve to my touch- he was senstive no where. Then I was just sitting there petting him and he did the same crying/yelping/screamin thing. I don't know what is wrong with him. It is the most difficult thing ever watching him and not knowing how to help.

You don't see birds falling from the sky, or dead birds in the street. It makes me think they must go away somewhere to die.

My chihuahua just had a puppie.
She isn't feeding it, I didn't notice it until yesterday night.
I started giving it normal milk, today at the morning I bought milk for puppies.
Please, I really need help.
The puppie was born 4 days ago.
I don't know how much time it had without food.
As I said, i'm giving it milk every 1-2 hours-
But it's like EXTREMELY weak.
But yesterday I saw him like really really weak, I thought he was going to die.
But it's not dieing, but it's also very very weak.
Please.. help me!

I have 3 "African Cichlids". The guy at my LFS (local fish store) said that they where "mixed african cichlids" and i won't take that as an answer. I need to know exactly what type of African Cichlid it is and what sex it is. I hope these pics are detailed enough! thanks!

So , the kitten has soil inside his mouth and his tongue from looking for nutrition. (He has been at least 20 hours away from his mother) and we found him because of his cries from within the garden, he was apparently dragged by his mom in a gap on a wood bank
My QUESTION is..!(lol im really sorry. we're kinda new at this)
Is it okay for the kitten to be drinking milk if he might have soil on his mouth? he's only 3 or 4 days old.. I'm worried if his tummy can take it.. Obviously I don't think it's normal, but my parents don't seem to be that worried.. (Dad says if it doesn't happen again it's probably allright and my mom says since he started drinking milk again and things seem to go back to normal it'll probably work out)
Please don't send any hate responces or assume that we're irresponsible!Because that isn't true and it wouldn't be helpful for our situation (by the way its after 8, vets are closed)
I care for the kitten's safety and any helpful tips is welcome
Thank you all !

I have a 10 month old Am Bulldog/Staffy mix puppy. He LOVES to play fetch inside our house with his red Kong. However, our house is pretty tiny to play fetch in and so we take him to this large empty field down the street, so he can run and fetch farther. We also bought him a red rubber ball to play fetch with at the field.

Here's the issue: When playing with his ball, he will retrieve it, but will NOT bring it to us to throw again. He won't drop it, or even let us get close enough to grab it. I don't want to chase him, because I believe this to be counter-active, and I don't want to sneak up on him and grab it either.

Why does he love to play fetch inside with one toy, but doesn't like to outside with another toy? It's like outside, the fetch part isn't rewarding enough for him.

Has anyone had experience with this problem, or any suggestions?

He is a little shaky on the "drop" command, but will do it when neccessary. Other than that, he is very obedient. Help!

Me and my cat decided to take a walk in the morning and I noticed that one of my underwear was hanging outside and it seems I had forgotten about it for a month.

As I approached my underwear I noticed there were baby birds inside. There was a nest with 3 baby birds and I decided to let them stay.

I took the underwear inside my trailer and I changed and put them on without interrupting the birds.

It feels very uncomfortable but I feel I did the right thing by letting them stay there. I just wish The rash would go away because it burns and hurts. My cat pooper keeps pawing ay my pants trying to get to the birds.

Found a kitten, eyes were open, ears stood up, and she is walking, wabbly. She is only drinking approx. 1 tbls. a feeding. She isn't using the bathroom consistently. Like today, no bm. and only twice urinating. She seems to have a little congestion, and sneezing? Guesses on how old she might be? Thanks for taking the time.
