I heard of a community in Florida that had proposed a licence and insurance be required of Pitt Bull owners. The licence would not be issued until the City could verify the dogs enclosure and the owners insurance coverage.

My 9-month old Boxer drank some disgusting water yesterday when my husband and I took her for a walk. She vomited twice last night and had diarrhea this morning. We think that that might be the reason why she is vomiting. Today she ate her food and drank her water as usual. She seems normal and playfull as always. But how do I prevent her from vomiting and having diarrhea again? I really don't want to take her to the vet cause I know they will charge me a lot of money. Can I just try to give her some peptobismol?

I am currently cycling my 2.5 gallon tank with two little fish in it. It has been about 8-10 hours since i first put the fish in, and so far the ammonia reads 0.25 nitrite 0.3 and nitrate 12.5.

When should i change the water, at what levels? and what levels should i not let the water reach?

When changing water or siphoning it out should i keep the fish in the tank or place them somewhere else?

How should i prepare the water i will be adding to the tank?

Also i have some java moss in the tank, how will that affect the cycling process?

I was just wondering, I know that breeding pure breed dogs is good money, but how much does it cost to have a pregnant dog and to have the puppies and actually care for them untill they are sold? There are doctors visits, shots,food....and personal time to care for them! After they are sold, do you actually just break even or make more?

I know that cats are sensetive to lactose in the normal milk but I have heard that most cats drink normal milk that human drinks with no problem.

Is that true? Can I give normal full cream milk to my kitten instead of buying special kitten milk which is costly and hard to store?

Ok, here's the scoop: I have an indoor cat, 11 years old. I recently got married to a man who already has a dog (hyper, slobbery, english springer spaniel - not like a cute jack russell or anything) who is almost 5 or something. Whatever.
My cat, of course, is way more important than any dog, so he gets to stay indoors all day long and the dog has to stay out. :-)
My husband does bring in the dog at night, but in a room with a closed door, so the two animals don't interact.
Frankly, I'd rather the dog go, but that, unfortunately, is not an option. Now, when and how should they be introduced formally?
I'm also traveling next week, so I'm a bit nervous about that, leaving them all together. Whee.
Advice? Thanks!!

I have a tank, about 50 litres in volume, with a filter and have two medium goldfish, one celestrial fish, one medium fish I don't know the name of but its very colourful, two wether loaches and two small crayfish but am unsure how much to feed them?
I have had them for about three months and started feeding them about half a tea spoon twice a day, then a friend of mine said to feed them half a tea spoon once a day and I went to a pet specialist in town about a week ago because the water was very coloudy all the time and she said she feeds her fish about half a teaspooon three times a week maximum,
That seemed very little but I tried it and the water has cleared nicely but I am worried I am starving them?
Any one know the right ammount to feed them all?

Thankyou ! ! x x

I have 2 cats (ages 4 and 5) and was wondering what breed or type of dog would be good around them? Or maybe you could tell my what breed is not worth considering.

Ok, so I just registered my bulldog puppy with the AKC and they sent me a three generation pedigree. Follow me on this, I'm a little confused myself. My dog's mother's dad (that would be my dog's granddad) is the same dog that my dog's father's granddad is (my dog's great granddad, on the other side of the family). Does that make him inbred. I mean surely the AKC wouldn't register him if he was, right?

I had a caterpillar and I didn't notice when it turned into a cacoon. But my sister took it to school and when she got home the cacoon was on the tank floor. (the tank is small) And the cacoon now looks brown with really dark brown at the bottom. Is it still alive? And if it is, what can I do to put it back up? (I don't have hot glue)

We don't care about shedding/brushing, we have a long-haired cat that we already get to take care of on that account so we're used to it. :) Anyways, we have a large, fenced-off backyard, someone home at almost all times, and are a very active family. The one thing is that they can't go crazy around cats, since we have 3. So, what are the upsides and downsides of both?
