We have fleas, i dont want to use harsh chemicals because i have a 2 yr old son, we have an outside dog, an inside cat and an inside out side cat! Frontline does not work for us! I put 20 mule team borax on the carpets and vacuum alot, i also feed brewers yeast vitamins to the animals! this works a little but not drastically, please help!!

You're infested and stuck for awhile. Fleas can stay in the pupa stage for up to 2 years. They are virtually indestructible in this stage. The frontline is probably working on the fleas but not long term. Once it wears off, you are back to square one with the new batch which hadn't been triggered yet. Keep doing what you are doing and make sure to empty the vacuum every time because they can live there as well. Comb your animals daily with a bowl of soapy water on hand to kill the fleas (I had better luck putting them in small Ziploc bags because they jump before I got them to the water). And make sure to reapply the frontline every month and re-borax the carpet at least t once a week.
If the frontline really isn't doing anything, then switch to another like advantage, but either way, you will have to keep applying every month until the infestation is completely gone which might take months.

I don't like to use Borax. It is a chemical. You can sprinkle salt all over your carpets and down in the cracks of your furniture. It will dehydrate the fleas. As far as your animals, you need a topical solution like Advantage or Frontline. You also might want to call a service and have your yard treated.

You need to have an exterminator get rid of them! Fleas breed and breed, your problem will only get worse. You need to put flea collars on all your animals that go outside and come inside. We had fleas so bad one time we had to stay in a hotel for a week before we got rid of them. You need to strip all your bedding they show up everywhere.

My vet used Revolution on a stray cat that we found and decided to keep. It worked great.
