We have a two year old boxer that has always respected the electric dog fence line. Recently he has started jumping the fence. The collar and fence are active-new battery. Matter of fact we just upgraded the collar from a two to four prong. Collar is on the highest level. The collar is good and tight (not too tight). We have a large yard over an acre. There are two sections to the yard. The front yard is open with just the dog watch fence. There is also a physical fence and dogwatch fence in the backyard. In the front yard he will shoot right across the fence. In the backyard he actually will get hit with a few surges from the dogwatch collar while digging to go under the backyard fence. This has happened all of sudden. For the first two years I could let him have run of the yard. In the front yard he would actually be sitting on the driveway until I pulled in from work. now I can't even let him out front as he will bolt. the dog is fixed and is not abused. Any ideas

My dad has a large German Shepherd/Pointer dog mix who 9 years old. He loves him very very much. However, recently his dog Goliath has become aggressive to his other German Shepherd 1 1/2 y/o male dog. Both dogs have been friends for 8 months. My dad heard a dog fight in his backyard and Goliath was attacking Lucky (his other GSD). He was growling at him and tried was playing a dominant game with him. When my dad went to walk away with Goliath he nearly bit him by snapping his teeth at him. I'm wondering if it was because my dad wouldn't let him touch Lucky. Do dogs do this when they become older?

I own 1 male betta who is not as aggressive as some of my former males. I am well aware that you should not put other males with him and I dont, I dont put any other fish with him either.

I went to wal mart last night and bought a Female betta thinking maybe he would like some companionship and I think he liked her alot.
They didnt fight at all and it actually seemes as if he was flirting with her, kinda showing off. She didnt fight or anything either, However she seemed to always stay at the bottom well hidden from him. she even got under a sea shell and stayed for awhile.

She came up a few times and they never once fought. I decided She didnt really like it in there with him so I took her out but she seems to act the same way by herself.

Id rather her be in the tank with lighting and air which is his tank than be in the bowl shes in now.Do you think it would be ok to put her back with him also how about her being in my large tank with goldfish and angel? Thanks

We have a 10 month old labradoodle and he has no problem with going into his crate, but he starts whining/crying about 5:00 am. We usually put him in his crate around 11:00 pm. We tried leaving him out one night and he put a hole in the couch. He is fine being in his crate during the day, but seems to wake up so early. Any help?

My teddybear hamster keeps hiding my marbles in obscure places while I'm away. The marbles are really special to me since they belonged to my late grandfather, and I just don't know what to do.

I have had him for about 3 weeks and he has developed a "rosy" cheek on one side. He seems to be acting normally. I am a little concerned.

This is not a serious behavior problem. I'm just curious about this because I've never had a dog before.

I have a 10-month old mutt who is from the animal shelter and weighs in at 52 pounds. He is very sweet, submissive, and generally relaxed around the house.

He does this curious thing though where he takes small things and moves them. He'll take gloves, cell phones, hats, anything he can reach and just take them either upstairs or downstairs.

I've noticed on walks that he'll stop to pick up a stick and just carry it for about as long as he can.

Not even the vet is sure what breed he is. He looks like an overgrown Benji.

Again, this isn't a big problem. I'm just wondering what's going through his mind. We've nicknamed him Klypto.

Ok i know this is a kinda gross question, but i have a 3 month old puppy and she keeps getting into the litter box. We keep it clean all the time, we have tried raising it, and moving it we have tried everything but she finds ways to get into it, i dont understand. We are running out of ideas. Can she get sick from it? If anyone has any ideas its really appriciated.

My Pom is cream colored and small.

I live in Denver, where it's been snowy and/or cold for 6 weeks (the first storm was the day after we got the dog, actually.) So there are certain spots where there is still a couple feet of snow, and other spots where the ground is covered in sheer ice.

My first concern is the dog getting too cold, as he's so small. How cold is too cold for a Pomeranian? Or any dog?

My second concern is the 12 inch deep puddles and thick grimy areas of melting snow at every crosswalk.

We live in the city, so there's a crosswalk, you know, every block.

The grimy puddles get his pretty cream fur matted and turn it black.

Would you walk your dog at all? (He's so much happier when we do.)

I am new to having a dog in a city, and new to small dogs in general, so I'm sure there is a solution to this problelm that I haven't thought of yet.

This is my first time having fish - I don't think it's prego. I'm not even sure if it's female?!
I got them Monday, two white cloud minnows (who live with 3 Zebra Danios). When I first got them, they were both the exact same size, one of them looks like it's colours are SLIGHTLY brighter, but its so slight I'm not even sure if its my eyes playing a trick on me.
Anyways, yesterday I didn't notice anything, but this morning when I was looking at them I realized one is a tad bit bigger now. A bit larger in length, as well as height. The belly looks a little swollen, but not that much at all - I don't think it's enough to hold eggs, and I do realize the eggs are almost microscopic.

Like I said, this is my first time - what do you think?

Also - I'm interested in breeding, atleast attempting to (I heard pet stores will take them from you), how many tanks do you suggest, and what size (gals) do you think?

I have heard that there is a capsule that you drop into the tank that will take care of their feeding. Do you know where I might purchase this, if in fact, it exists?

I have about a 6 month old albino cornsnake. He has a very large cage with a big enough rock type bowl to submerge himself in, a tree branch, and a half coconut shell for a hideaway. He NEVER goes in his water bowl though. I've seen a lot of people on here saying that they have to be submurged...do they???

My six year old sister is looking into getting a fish. She's very responsible, and she already owns a hamster, dog, and mouse. She loves and cares for them all, feeding and changing thier cages on a regular basis. She really wants goldfish, but I'm not sure if they will live too long. What's a good first time, not so expensive fish that can live in a slightly small tank that lacks a heater and air pump? I had a betta in the tank and it did very well.

I was due to buy a Boxer pup in a couple of weeks time.
But a friend has offered me a Boxer that is twelve months old and in need of a new home.
I know very little about dogs.
Is this dog too old to take on,
will it make strange with a new owner.
How would it react with my kids.
Any help please.

What is your breed of dog? Why did you choose that specific breed?

My dog is a Bichon Frise..Her name is Evie, she is just adorable! We chose a Bichon becuase we had friends that had them, they have wonderful temperments, just the right size, and hypoallergenic !
