I know what you mean, I have the same problem with my small dogs. But if you push them (gently) away enough times, they at least get the idea they are not going to be sitting on your lap on the toilet. Anywhere else you sit, well, you're fair game!!!!!

Little dogs were bred to be lap dogs. However you need to train her that you have your space. Shut the door when you need to go. That's sort of like people trying to talk to me while I'm on the toilet. I will not hold a conference while I'm on the pot! You must have given in to her and she thinks you will again. Some how you've trained her to beg for attention while your on the pot. I had a cat that did that to me. I couldn't believe it as he slink ed up in my face. Being a girl well you can imagine the jokes I heard about that. Believe me I had to shut the door.

Um....it's not just the little ones...LOL!

One suggestion, if you are the alpha in your "pack" then YOU should be deciding when and for how long your dog will get attention from you.

ha ha. My dog does the same thing.
I have a pug and she was born to be a companion dog. That is just the way it is.
