Some types of chocoate are more dangerous than others. Symptoms include rapid heart beat, vomiting, diarrhea, urinary incontinence, and restlessness. A cat can have seizures, lapse into a coma and die.
Years ago we had a cat that liked chocoate and would take a small taste. He was a large cat and the amount was small, so he didn't become ill. At that time we didn't know how bad it was for him, or we'd never have let him have any.

NO!!!!! A cat can die from eating just a little bit of certian types of chocolate! Some cats will be okay and some cats won't. Be safe and don't try feeding your cat any chocolate!

I would not recommend feeding a cat any chocolate. I also don't agree with the above statements that most cats are lactose intolerant. Most dairy products are not harmful to cats.

Most cats are lactose intolerant and I don't know if that would cause a problem with chocolate, but quite honestly, you shouldn't feed a cat any people food. You should stick to a healthy diet of good cat food and fresh water.

Chocolate isn't good for them. They shouldn't have anything with sugar in it anyways. Try healthier treats. Mine like a little bit of cheese now and then (not too much cuz most cats are lactose intollerant). I've had cats that loved weird stuff too like peanut butter, cantalope, green beans... My animals are weird.

Consider that chocolate has THEOBROMINE in it...and theobromine in a cat's system acts like cocaine in a human's system and can be absolutely LETHAL to cats as well as dogs.
Best to keep Kitty and Fido away from chocolate.

Choclate is very bad for cats, believe me i have 3 cats now, and ive never lived in a house without a cat....... it gives em diahrea

no way if a cat or dog has chocolate they will have the poops if you know what i mean =) i would not do that if i was you
