my cat's just a few months old and last month we noticed his eyes were getting milky in colour.its cataract and the doc says he'll go completely blind in a month.says we should put him to sleep.i can't do that.he's doing pretty ok for now.but what about later?he still climbs on the roof perfectly balanced unlike his sister who's perfect everywhere but such a clutz.

I've stuffed a fish carcass with kale but she only ate the carcass. Help! I don't want her eating meat like other cats. She's too good for that.

I don't understand this whole PETA opposes pets thing. They sound like they don't want animals to be pets but then there is a section on their website that talks about owning pets. I'm confused. Can someone please clarify this for me? I've seen a lot on petakillsanimals.com and other websites about how extreme and corrupt they are, but is it true? Below is a link to the page where they talk about having pets.

you should know is that my dog is not agressive. She never acts agressive towards strangers, and it is perfectly to hug her. However, she has a problem with food. She acts agressive when she is eating something she isn't supposed to and you try to take it away.
Well my mom lets her get away with EVERYTHING. She never corrects my dog, and always babies her. One day my dog was licking the dishes and i tried to correct her by a tug and the collar and a firm "NO!". However, my dog would not accept this and she growled me and bit me on the hand. Not a hard bite, but still a bite. When i tried to scold her, my mom instead scolded ME. She said i shouldnt have been messing with the dog. this is completely ridiculous. This dog is spoiled rotten and thinks she is dominant and i think it is unacceptable for a dog to bite at any time.

being the youngest in my family, my dog thinks she is more dominant than me. How can i teach both my mom and my dog that this is not ok?

I have a male Malti Poo pup who is driving us crazy!! He won't stop humping everybody.. Mostly the kids or their friends that come by. I know,, I should go get him fixed , right? I'm sure thats what everyone is going to tell me. But other than that, is there any remedy to stop him? Everytime he starts doing it, when I call his name he stops right away, but as soon as I turn by back, hes right at it again. And its weird, he does it about everyother day. Somedays he won;'t do it at all. Why is that?? By the way, hes 10 months old. Its gross but kind of funny, he has this pillow type bear and thats what he does it on if its not the kids!! He doesn't touch anyother stuffed animal, just that bear!! I guess because its about the same size as him!! And please, no smart answers from anybody! Go bother someone else with the ignorant answers. Its actually not funny at all !! It drives us crazy.. I don't plan on breeding him. so should I just break down and have him fixed??

ok to make a long story short we got my cat ladybug form the humane society in mid sept........

apparently THEY tested for all those things in august when she first got there and tested negative for all of them

she is STRICTLY an inside cat since we first got her

we feed her only her purina cat food and maybe once a month she gets canned food. she doesn't interact with any other animals.

she does not go into the trash and eat trash

although my husband has caught her one time sniffing around the toilet and he thinks she might have drank out of the toilet...but if she did drink that one time she wouldn't get worms from that one time....right?????

i am really worried about her i know she doesn't have heart worms cause we used to have a cat who had the same thing with the same symptoms and she got cleaned with two dr visits and a shot

but what would've caused her to get worms???
like does it take a long time for the worms to actually develop??
and that is why she tested negative

About 15 stray dogs in the early morning in Bangalore,South India killed a 9 year old girl. She was a passer by and the dogs after mulching raw meat waste near a mutton stall, attacked the girl and tore her into pieces.
What is the solution to get rid of the stray dogs existing which are now all neutered and spayed?

I found one in country supply(horse.com) that I like and its only $600. I want the saddle for my standardbred who Is my trail/trick horse (he can lay down and sit like a dog and bow) so I need something comfy. I'm looking for a western saddle thats cheap like the one I saw in the catalog and because I dont show western I dont need a fancy saddle just sturdy.

my real question is :
1)have you ever gotten a saddle out of a catalog?? or online?
2)was it what you thought it would be??
3)If I ride in it and it doesnt fit me or the horse or its uncomfortable will they take it back??

Do they just think "I want, I want. I want" ? Or perhaps they only look as far as the end of their nose..."oh, I'll find them good homes." Do they not consider most of those pups will have pups? It will just keep escalating. Fact: 1 dog in 10 gets a permanent home. Fact: millions of dogs are killed EVERY YEAR because to many are born. Those of you that insist on breeding a pet, please explain to me WHY this issue is not important to you. Can you do that?

My well mannered 3 year old Burmese female just started urinating on my clothes laying around and occasionally on my bed clothes. She has a litter box and has always used it exclusively until recently. I don't know why she started this behavior nor can I figure out how to stop her. It happens every few days.

Well, my fiance and I are buying a house in March. Seeing as how we're young and can't afford a big house (it's just gonna be a little subdivision house, and we're waiting for it to be built) we can't get a big dog...even though I love them. My two favorite breeds are Golden Retrievers and Siberian Huskeys.

I saw (I think it was on Growing up Gotti or something)...a little brown dog w/ long hair that resembled a golden retriever, except smaller. I also like Mischa Barton's dog.

Any suggestions???

I just need to find something a bit smaller. Thanks!

My family has a 6 month old Chihuahua. The breeder we got her from called yesterday and wanted to know how she was doing.

He told us that we should consider spaying her, if we do not plan on breeding her. He said she will enter "heat" soon and will act very strange.

He said that she will become more aggressive and will try to escape our home and backyard so she can find a mate. He also mentioned some pertty scary stuff...

Is this true? Will she try to run away?

What are the effects of heat in a female Chihuahua pup?

Thanks

I know from reading old quastions that cats can sense when a women is pregnant. But have you ever heard of a cat wanting to be in the bathroom when you are. Like wanting to sit on your lap while your going to the bathroom. Is that becuase they can sense the change or because now that im 34 weeks im in there all the time or becuase shes been through one heat cycle already. and please no smart remarks.
