I know from reading old quastions that cats can sense when a women is pregnant. But have you ever heard of a cat wanting to be in the bathroom when you are. Like wanting to sit on your lap while your going to the bathroom. Is that becuase they can sense the change or because now that im 34 weeks im in there all the time or becuase shes been through one heat cycle already. and please no smart remarks.

Cats can be very "in tune" to us. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that she is trying to comfort you or provide some need she thinks you have. Isn't that sweet?

Truthfully they just like to be in there with you--it has nothing to do with your pregnancy.

All of my cats have felt that when I am in the "sandbox" they have my undivided attention and that is the best time to be with me. A couple have insisted on sitting on my lap, but some just want to cruise around my legs and behind the toilet!

And I have never been and never will be pregnant.

Well, their sense of smell is so much more advanced than ours, that I would not be surprised at all if they can smell a change in your urine.

I know my cats can tell when my GF is having an MS exacerbation. They're in there with her all the time when it's going on, but when she's over it, they leave her alone.

She just likes you! People are often too busy to pay any attention to cats, so when you're sitting down and doing your thing, she knows you'll notice her.
