She most likely suffered a shoulder injury from jumping off the couch, or such. as she is overweight, she may have arthritis in that shoulder, from repeatedly jumping off the furniture.
You can buy or make a stairway, or slant board to help her up and down from furniture.
she needs to see the vet, to determine her true condition, and to get the appropriate medications for it.

It may be as simple as a gravel or a thorn in her paw. First, hold her in a way that she can't bite you. ( I know she loves you, but it's an automatic reflex.) Check between her toes. See if her paw is tender. If not, then check farther up the leg until you get to the shoulder. She could have a strain anywhere from her foot to her back, that would cause her to favor her leg. If it is her leg and it's not broken, you can wrap it, like an athlete. If it's past the leg, you should see a vet.

It could be a sprain or it could be a torn ligament or tendon. She really needs to be seen by the vet. My dog started limping on her back leg about a week ago. We ended up taking her to the vet, because it wasn't getting better, and she had a torn ligament. They had given her a anti-inflammatory shot, and some pills. They said it being a ligament that it could take a few weeks to heal. It could be lots of different things. If she hasn't shown any improvement after about 3 days or so then she really needs to be seen.

The ONLY way to help her is to take her to the vet. Let the vet diagnose it. We are but strangers on the Internet who cannot see or examine your dog, so we can't give any type of reliable advice. It could be anything from an infected foot pad to a broken leg to arthritis to cancer to a torn tendon to (you get the idea). A vet trip is in order.

Check her paws to make sure she doesn't have a sand spur or other item stuck.
Also, she may have a slight sprain. Rub the area. It is soothing and you may find out if it's tender. If she's not up and about by tomorrow. Take her to the vet.

Don't waste your time on here. Take your dog to the vet. She could have fractured something or have arthritis. We can't diagnose things like that on here. Whatever you do DO NOT give your dog any type of pain meds. with out first consulting your vet!!!

I have a shitzu/poodle mix thats 14 years old and my dog does that sometimes too. Either it jumped/fell off of something, it has arthritis, or its claws are too long and it hurt its paw.

Try checking her paw for stickers or anything that could get stuck in the pads of her feet. If you don't find anything then call your vet. Good luck!

Her leg might be sore from jumping off a couch or bed etc...... I know my dog does this from time to time. Just keep and eye on her see if it gets better or worse, then you might want to take her to the vet. You might even want to check the pads on her paw to make sure nothing is sticking in her foot.
