The cat we're buying is very quite and serious, so I want a people name for her. I can't decide between:
Elena(Yelena)
Larisa
Ananias
Christiana
Katya
Natasha

NOTE: Elena(Yelena), Katya, Natasha, and Larisa are Russian names.

Thanks a ton!

I am puppy sitting for my friend while she went to her visit her relatives for the holidays so i offered to puppy sit. there are 5 shih tzu pups and the mom. the pups are eating soft food and it seems to be getting stuck in their fur and when they poop it is kinda runny so i would like to bath them to clean them up some and yes i do have puppy shampoo and i have bathed a dog before.
i wont have them in the water for too long and yes they will be blow dried when they come out so they dont catch a cold.

thank you in advance for the advice and the help.

The day before Christmas Eve, my hubby took 1 yr old dog to groomer for nail clippings. Dog came home and was bleeding on foot. Called my vet, she said to dip in flour. Did that, dog ok. Turned out not to be the nails, but his pad was cut. Then later that day, his eye (on the same side as the cut pad) was bloodshot. Really bloodshot. Also, this morning, I noticed that that particular pupil is dilated. What's wrong with my puppy? He has had all of his shots, and isn't around other dogs. We do tie him up occasionally outside while we are home for him to get fresh air, but otherwise, he is an inside dog.

I always figured that house cats mate year-round, but recently a few friends have told me that they actually have a mating season.

We've had him about a month, and he didn't bite before. These are not "looking for something to chew" bites, these are very aggressive "going for your hand for the purpose of biting" bites. He is handled with care, is aloud to run about an hour free every day, is handled gently in small amounts throughout the day. He has timothy hay and chew toys. He has a hidie-hole and a big cage. What else do we need to make our little piggie love us? My daughter is 4 and just loves "Snuggles", I don't wish to deprive her of him, but I don't know what else to do. (no, she is not aloud to handle him without my help). If anyone has any information, please help.

I have a 9 week-old ShiTzu and I would like to spay her. I called one vet and they told me they wouldn't fix her until she is 6 months old. Then I called a place indicated by the Humane Society and they said I could take her now or at any moment. What do you guys think would be better for her? Is there ok spay a 9 week-old dog?

My baby(dog) is 59 days pregnant. Today her temp dropped to 98.6. She is now rolling from side to side. Panting a little not often. But her breathing is very short and hard. I have been to the vet 3 times with her since Dec. 19th. He said she will not go untill the 1st of Jan. What should I expect? b4 u ask--she got pregnant on accident. she is an inside family member. My son let her out thinking he was helping mommy with the work over load. Sweet thinking but she ran off in the process.

My mini Dachshund is acting very bad lately, instead of pooing outside he holds it in all day and then right before he goes to bed or the very next day just acts like he doesnt have to go outside and poos in my house/Office! I take him outside and stand out there for a good 20-30 minutes and he goes pee but then acts like he doesnt have to go poo even after walking around for quite a while, he is almost a year and has just changed from a very good well behaved dog to a very snappy and mouth do whatever it likes dog...did I do something wrong? I dont even correct him anymore when he does something wrong I just scold him because when I corrected him thats when he started to get snappy and everything...ugh am I just a bad small dog owner?

We don't know it's gender so it needs to be something that would be suitable for either/or.

We have gotten rid of a cat that had TERRIBLE fleas. She lived in our house for about 3 months and horribly infested the house with fleas!

She has now been gone for about 3.5 months and the fleas have tremendously reduced; however, they are still here and biting us!

These are the measures that we have taken to get rid of the fleas:

*Bombed the house 2 times
*Sprayed the carpets and all over the house with Raid Flea Killer
using 4 bottles
*Vacumed all over several times and washed linen
*Put Eucalyptus leaves all over the house
*Scented the house with Wintergreen Oil
*Now the ORKIN man is coming over soon to do a treatment

Please HELP ME! Tell me what will finally rid this house of these fleas???!!!!????!!!!????!!!!

Does putting more carbon in an out of tank filter help promote bacterial growth, or does it just take up space.
I don't mean that I don't have any in the filter-I have all of what comes in the filter pack, but I'm wondering if it is a good idea to put another pack of carbon in the same filter?

i have heard that dogs wait and watch their owners eat because they view their owner as "head dog", so to speak, and are waiting for the head dog to finish so they can have their turn.

do you think it is the same for cats?

sometimes i think my cat thinks he is an infant because he ALWAYS wants to be cradled and kissed.
