Your cat is getting ready for his nap!! Feel good your cats has bonded with you and wants to share your space. The reason most cats kneed is instinct, they do this to milk come from mommy and then when older make sure they do not lay on something that could bite them or just to show signs of contentment

Kneading is something a cat did as a kitten to help its mother produce more milk as it is nursing. As an adult it is a sign of contentment and security with you.

You have a really happy kitty, keep up the good work.

newborn kittens knead their mother's breasts to start and maintain a flow of milk. It's a reflex that resurfaces even in adulthood whenever they are in a relaxed and pleasurable state. They sort of go into a trance and act out their old kitten pattern. Personally, I think it's charming and endearing. But then, I really love cats.

She obviously wants to sleep with you because she loves you so much. The kneading is to get you in a position that will make her comfortable. they do that alot (knead their bedding, I mean)

This is from their kitten hood when they feed from their mother. They knead when sucking milk from their mom. Sometimes I think they were taken from their Mother too soon. My cat has a teddy bear that he kneads. It's too cute to see him doing this>

Purring and kneading are both signs of extreme happiness. When your cat does this it wants to be stoked and cuddled.

The "kneading" is a sign of contentment. It is the motion they used on their mother when they were nursing, it triggers the milk 'let-down' response in the momma cat.

You cat is telling you she is about to use you for a mattress and that you should plan on not moving, getting up for the bathroom, answering phone or door or anything else that might disturb her for the next few hours.
