No you would just be making a mutt and the pound if full of mutts! Leave the breeding to the proffessional please!! The world dose not need anymore dogs sitting in the pound! My friend already has a Chuaha and min pin mix so it is nothing new. You would just be what is called a back yard breeder and that is not something we need more of! Get you dog fixed he is at the rise of cancer if not!

Wait, are you talking about breeding a dog with its own offspring? Probably not a great idea. Inbreeding is bad, in any species.

To have a purebred dog, both parents must be purebreds of the same breed.

Unless you are a professional, it's not a great idea to breed your own dogs, and as for being purebred, unless you plan to show them, it really, really, does not matter. It doesn't make a better pet, and it doesn't even mean they look better.

If you bred one purebred dog with another purebred of the same breed, then you get a purebred dog. And breeding an offspring with a parent (or granparent) is not recommend - it's inbreeding and will weaken genetics. However, if you don't know the answer to these questions, you should not be breeding the animal. Please visit the AKC site to learn what a responsible breeder is.

Breeding is done ONLY to improve the breed, not just for fun or because you happen to own a purebred dog. Breeding is a responsibility and a privelege, not a right. With 2.5-5 million adoptable animals being killed in shelters each year, no just 'anyone' should be breeding.

Edit: Are you trying to breed a CHI with your unpapered Min Pin? Please don't. Get both dogs fixed. You don't know enough about breeding to be doing it. You don't even know that it's Min Pin, not Mini Dobie. You don't even know that it's "Purebred", not pure blooded. You don't know what 'purebred' means. You should not be breeding. Please, read the AKC link I gave above to learn about what makes a responsible breeder. Then, visit the other sites I have given you. If you don't have the time to read them and follow their advice, then you don't have time to breed.

Only if the dog in question is also a chihuahua. Anything else and all you have is a mutt.

BTW, it's "purebred".

Probably not the best idea to be breeding your dog, if your asking this question :)

That is called "INBREEDING" and you should NOT do it!

Look it up in the dictionary and see what it means.
