I've come across numerous answers to this question, but none of which suit my particular situation.
I have a small Maltese, and she has just turned 1. She recently has/has had her first heat. Many dogs have been hanging around and i am unsure of whether or not they have "done the deed" with my dog.
My dog recently has gained a little weight around her waist, has enlarged nipples , has thrown up about 3 times and uncharacteristically just peed on the floor.

Santa brought my son a ball for his new hamster to go in, we put him in, he moves it but doesn't run... also the wheel in his cage.... he doesn't get on it... is this normal? I've seen ones in pet stores that just run and run and run.... I've read online they love to exercise in the evening and at night - is there a such thing as a lazy hamster? Or maybe he is just young yet?

Okay, my cat is a persian/siamese mix (supposedly) She cost $100 from the local pet store, so I guess I should trust them. My question is about their temprament. This dumb thing will stare right at me, and then just knock crap off of my table, or take a swipe at my face for no reason. I've had her for a year. She eats normal, but she always cries and runs in circles before I give her food. She has a clean litterbox as well. And water. I don't know why she's so dumb. I know, pets take after their owners. blah blah, I'm looking for serious answers. Are siamese persians all this stupid, or is my cat just a retard. If so, I'm getting sick of getting gimp animals. My first cat had 2 . inch legs and crossed eyes, my dog is a 26lb chihuahua that eats 1 time per day.

I took my dog to petsmart to get her legs shaved so it doesn't go so dirty when I take her out for a walk. But the lady cut off her entire body's hair too and so now her once long hair is now short. It's not the lady's fault. I was in a hurry andshe told me if she only cut the legs, my dog would look ugly, like a mushroom she said, so I told her to do anything she can to make it look good but less maintences so I don't have to keep washing her when I take her back from her walks cause my dog goes for 2 walks a day and gets quite dirty. Nowmy dog seems like she's cold, so I bought her a couple shirts. She's wearing two right now. But I'm still scared she's cold. Are there any symptoms? Any suggestions to help my poor puppy? I've also bougt her shoes so when she goes out, her feet won't get cold. But i'm still worried. I live in SO Cal, it doesn't get THAT cold, but it has been 30 degrees lately!

Do they shed, do they bark alot, do they make good lap dogs, would they get along with a corgi? Pro's, cons of owning a papillon. I also heard they are extremely hard to house train. Would it be okay to adopt one at 1-2 yrs old or would it be better to get a puppy? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure I am making the right decision.
