We had the same problem with our two rabbits. Sorry to tell you that we we unable to allow the rabbits to continue to have total access to the back yard as they were destroying the lawn and getting out of the yard by burrowing under the fence. What we ended up doing was to fence off a 10 foot by 12 foot section just for the rabbits. To prevent them from burrowing we staked small grid chicken wire over the lawn and then covered the lawn with mulch. Problem solved.

hang on, I will wave my magic wand so that the burrowing stops without you altering the way the rabbit is kept.
Otherwise I would have advised you to put her in a hutch and run which was underwired, unless you can supervise the rabbits time outside of the run.

Either put the rabbit into a run with a wire base or dig a trench about a foot deep around the run and bury netting into it. this will deter her from digging out.

If you don't want to restrict their freedom of playing in the soil,,, put concrete 5 inches deep under the soil...

Giuve her a special area such as a sandpit where she can dig to her hearts content. It is natural for them to burrow and it also gives them exercise.

It doesn't seem that anyone has suggested cutting off their paws. It's a bit drastic but if you don't want to use cement, or restrict them, you gotta think outside the box. Seriously though, maybe you can get them a type of glove, or "shoe", or maybe even declaw them?

you can't. that's what rabbits do. did you think it would't and have respect for your garden because it's a pet? it's in there nature that's what they do.
