I think my adopted puppy (on weds) 4 days later (sun) brought her back to north shore animal league hospital (shelter where we got her) they admitted her. They think pneumonia. She is a mix breed of what they don't know. I love her to death already. She has a temp of 105. Do you think she will make it? Also am I financially responsible? is anyone else familiar with nsal? it is in long island, ny. This is the 3rd pet that I know of from here, that is very sick a few days after being home. Any ideas suggestions? How long is recovery?? pooor baby.

Has anyone ever heard a squirrel making noises like a guinea pig but instead of long high pitched noises, it's short, fast high pitches noises? I saw a group of them in my backyard fighting making that noise that i've never heard before.

it was horrible i heard it over the news someone said that the poor thing had its paws duct taped together and was then covered in paint then they baked the poor thing and went out and bragged about it to little kids is that not sick and wrong??? it made me furious!!! i hate people who are cruel to animals it makes me sick oh and they brought a puppy in the court room to demonstrait how much a puppy would struggle(they didnt hurt it)it made me sick to my stomach

Ok i seriously need some help?
im at a good friends house and her cat just got spade and declawed (i know normal) but now her (normally pink) bandages around her paws are red with blood and the carriers bars she has been in are blood stained...she has this traumatized look in her eyes and we are thinking about moving her to a different room but she might get spastic and start trying to walk...we have tried calling the vet and that is what he said to do if there was excessive bleeding...what should we do??

it's too late in the evening to call a vet and i don't think there is an animal hospital near by, ( I can't find it listed in my phone books)

My dad is going to give me the money to buy the stuff. were middle income, so hes going to give me enough money to buy the neccesary items with a little extra. When I sing to my cats, they seem to like it as they start to purr, but I think it is just because it is me paying them attention. Does anyone out there think ---- or know [-somehow] that cats actually DO enjoy music? I leave beautiful music playing on tv and look to see if my Delilah is somehow motivated but I am never sure. I think dogs seem to like music, but is it "MEW-sic" to my cats!?

I just got a cat he's about 5 months so he's not really big. Me and my boyfriend are getting a house and I want to bring him with me but my boyfriend has a pitt bull. We sleep with him everynight and he's so sweet and gentle. But I took Mr. Smithers(the cat) over there and Bryan had Elvis(the dog) by the collar. I was so scared and Elvis licked him a lot but I'm just to scared to let them be loose togetherbecause Mr. Smithers wouldn't have a chance. I feel like Elvis will hurt him if we are not there. What should I do we are moving out in a month.

I think it may be dying i look on the sites and it tells me that it may be cancer or wettail, She doesn't have diareahea but it did release some bowels (most things do when they are dying) the hamster is weak and can barely open its eyes. It was in its own habitat but it was near a sliding glass door where the outside is about 50 during the night. Please help.

ok my room mate has a pet rabbit, it is in a cage in the living room and he NEVER cleens its **** out. Right now in its **** box there is about one inch of **** covering the bottom, and what i need to know is, is this stuff toxic it smells like amonia and i just cant see it being helthy to breath.

My friend and I found a wandering female rottweiler the other day, we have tried to find her owners but none can be found. So, we are trying very hard to find a good home for her because neither one of us can keep her. She is an adult and we are trying to have her spayed. She loves people, is good with kids and some dogs. She should not be in a home with small dogs or cats. She knows how to "sit" and walks well on a leash and loves to go for car rides. I have a dwarf frog with bloat. Tonight, my fiance and I aspirated her for the first time - and we'll most likely have to do it again next week. To do this, we've had to order needles online (since here in PA you can't get them from a pharmacy without a prescription). So, between all the supplies to save her, we've spent well over $50 - and that's not including any meds. Everyone thinks we're nuts for doing so - "It's just a frog! Flush him!" his mom said. And I almost passed out after I got the needle in her (I seem to have developed a recent aversion to needles).

So how far have you gone to save a fish or aquatic frog?
