I just got 4 Cons about 2 weeks ago and they have already spawned. How often do they lay eggs?

Once they start to breed, it will be difficult to stop them. Mine bred like clockwork, every two and a half weeks, almost to the day. You can probably give the fry away to a local pet store for free. Otherwise you can use them as feeders.

I have had them spawn pretty frequently. I have some babies that hatched about three weeks ago, I seperated them. Now mom laid a new batch of eggs about 4 days ago.

Convicts are known as the rabbits of the fish world! They are very prolific breeders. Start looking for homes for the babies asap.
They will continue the lay eggs every month or so.

once they start your doomed. they spawn like once a month. i had over 150 babies i had to deal with. finally solved the problem with some hungry Oscars.
