i have a 1 year old doberman and he LOVES lollipops. it started when my niece gave him one on Halloween. god forbid he smells one in the house. it's gotten so bad that now he'll growl and snap whenever i try to take the candy away. how do i make him stop??

what fish is better? i have 6, 1 - 1.5" african cichlids. i have a 2 week warenty on them and it's only been 1 week so far. i was wondering, do you think petsmart would take them back and exchange them for oscars? if they do how many should i get and what size?

we rescued my dog from an animal shelter and the lady said they found him in a hurricane. we have found out he is terrified of water. Since he won't take a bath he stinks and we can't stand it anymore. we have tried everything at home but he has chocked himself and broken our bathroom door. I need to find a way to give him a bath without having to go broke. we are broke. we are scared he will attack the groomers we take our other dog to so groomers is out of the question.

The crazy thing is that he has 24 hr access to his room that has pads/newspaper for him to use, if he is confined to this room ofcourse he uses the newspaper/pads. If we are sitting in the living room 40% of the time he will run to his room to the newspaper/pads and use them but the other 60% he goes anywhere. Why if he knows the right places to go (outside or to his room) and he always has access and he is very smart why am I having trouble? What am I doing wrong? Please help

i take him on two hour trips and he gets very sick, but i want to take him cause he gets to play in the country, and i dont like to leave him in apt cause he gets stir crazy as it is.

but the trip kills him.

1. could he drop dead during these trips, he seems like it

My wife and I just purchased a home, and I'm leaving my Lab at home with my parents. We know we're getting a dog, but are arguing over what kind. I want a Boxer, because I want a larger, playful and loyal dog. She wants a Shar Pei, mostly because of how they look. I don't think she knows anything about them. I know they're quite prone to health issues (ears, eyes, kidnies), but I've heard they're also hard to train and not as playful. However, we both work during the day, so it'll be hard to give a Boxer the attention it deserves. I plan on getting either from a rescue.

I know that seems like a strange question, but we have chihuahua puppy (about 3 months old), he was doing great w/ paper training (we want to eventually get him to go outside, but it's too cold here now), but now he walks right past his paper and does his business everywhere else...I am so FRUSTRATED!!! He knows he's done something bad when he does it too, he tucks his tail and hides after he goes somewhere he's not supposed to...does anyone know why he might be doing this and what can I do to stop him?
