Hopefully, but DO keep an eye on him to see that he's 'eliminating' normally. Chicken bones can splinter and harm the dog's intestine and stomach, so watch for blood in the feces. If nothing happens in a couple of days, he's fine. Just don't let him do that again, lol! Beef bones are the only safe bones for dogs.

Even though accidents happen, try not to make it a habit of letting him eat chicken bones. What happens is the bones tend to shard, thus the dogs swallow sharp pointy edges that can puncture their insides. Keep an eye on him for a few days, if he starts acting funny take him to the vet asap. Other wise the bones should digest normally.
FYI: Beef bones don't do that, so you won't need to worry if he ever gets a rib bone.
good luck

The bone will get digested but if it was cooked, it will be hard and possibly cause problems. I'd be watching my dog carefully after this to make sure there are no medical problems caused by eating this. If the bone was raw, there are no problems because the bone still has collagen in it so it's easy to chew and digest.

Please keep a very close eye on him. Chicken bones do not get digested. They splinter while being chewed and then rip up the stomach and intestines. It is possible your dog will make it through this unharmed but keep an eye on the stools for any diarrhea or blood, vomiting, acting sick, lethargic or if he seems in pain, he will need a rush to the vet for treatment.
good luck

It isn't a "whole' bone anymore. He has chewed it. I don't partake in the thought that dogs can't digest bones! Dogs were originally carnivorous scavengers before they were domesticated to our household pets that only eat "puppy chow".

I'd get it checked out, most of the time I think they would pass it but you never know if a splinter somewhere could do damage to the intestines. Better to be safe than sorry.

probably not. Dogs don't digest food very well. Thats why rats eat dog poo, which is one reason city law usually makes you clean up after them.
