There was a Reticulated Python that measured in at 32 feet 9.5 inches, making it the longest existing snake species. It was estimated to weigh about 440 lbs.

Reticulated Pythons, however, are rather slender; the Green Anaconda can be close to the same length but twice as heavy.

I would seriously doubt that either of these species would be the one to attack your dog, but regardless of what kind it was, a snake bite can be serious to a dog, and likely warrants veterinary attention.

there is great debate about this issue but it goes something like this. The longest snake is the reticulated python the heaviest is the anaconda but the largest can be argued about between the burmeas python & the Boa constrictor your dog would not have suvived an attack from any of the snakes as the would eat your dog no matter how big he was,

let me promis you, the biggest snake was NOT the one that attacked your dog. It was likely only a 3ft snake or something like that. The big ones don't live in the States.

The reticulated python is the longest and the anaconda is the heaviest but I doubt they would attack a dog because anacondas live in swampy jungles and reticulated pythons live in jungles and rainforests, and plus the dog would be completely gone if one of these attacked it they can eat a human when fully grown
