Your cat should be fine---when cats ride they get motion sickness! Try not feeding him the day before the trip. He wont die and your not taking years off his life! It's just like when humans get a motion sickness! Hope this helps

You obviously love your cat very much as you're unwilling to leave him on his own for 2 hrs in an apartment. But since your cat is a very bad traveller, the kindest thing to do is to limit trips in the car to absolutely necessary. If I were you, I'd leave the cat in the apartment but in a room where he can go "stir crazy." (I hope you mean just playful and getting into things he shouldn't). Make the room as comfy nice to him as possible with all his necessities there (foood bowl, water bowl and litter box and toys).

The stress of too much travelling may adversely impact his immune system (as stress does to cats) and I know you certainly wouldn't want that.

Ease him into it. Put the cat in the car for several hours before you take off (weather permitting). Then drive him around slowly for a few minutes, let him sit, drive him around, etc. (This can also be done several days beforehand.) When you're ready to make the big trip, put the cat on your lap and comfort him. Take off, reassure him, and do whatever you can to keep him comfortable. If he seems to be starting an epidsode, distract him in any way you can.

I had one cat that traveled great. However my next cat was horrible. I had to cage him in the car. He wrecked the cage. Some vets will give you a mild sedative to help with travel. Others refuse to.

You have to decide if the fun he has in the country is worth it.

ok well try asking your vet! they may have a very low grade medicine that will let hime sleep through the ride! but if not maybe taking him on theese rides isn't the best for him! but i wouldn't take him on to many more of them with out going to the vet's first! good luck ♥
