i have a cat that doesn,t meow is that normal????the only time i ever heard her mewo was wen we took her in the car to take her to the vets

We've had a new cat for about a month now, and have barely been able to observe him until fairly recently -- he was quite scared of people at the start; almost too scared to eat.

Now he's starting to get into being petted, eating when he's hungry instead of in a rush in the middle of the night, etc.

And he's taking whatever's handy and covering his wet food with it after eating a bit.

Rather bizarrely, he doesn't do this with the dry food.

We've got one other cat, who I've never seen fighting him for the food or anything. Wet food comes out when he seems hungry (he's underweight), and there's a supply of dry out at all times.

There's a mention of cats covering food here: http://www.healthypet.com/faq_view.aspx?ID=92&sid=2 but it doesn't explain why it'd be just the wet. (There's a variety of wet, and all kinds of wet get covered, too.) He _does_ like to eat the stuff.

It is an amusing quirk. But is he trying to tell me something about the wet food, and if so, what?

I just bought my husband an AKC certified black lab puppy. I have the papers, I saw pictures of his entire litter and saw the parents. My question is. This is a black lab puppy, but it looks like a rottweiler puppy! It has brown feet and little brown spots on its eyes. It is completely adorable but I've never seen or heard of a lab colored like this. The breeder said its because a dog on the mothers side, her grandfather or something, had the same problem.

She runs away repeatedly and the electric fence just doesnt tame her. Is the problem that shes a pointer? HELP ME!

she usually always purrs and comes for cuddles but she refuses to be stroked at the moment. she is eating fine and still playing with her toys. I'm reluctant to take her to the vet as I keep taking them in and when they are poorly or hurt the vet just says to give it a couple of days and they'll be fine, which they usually are. but I'm still worried

My B.F bought me a St Bernard for x-mas he was admitted to the ICU with parvo were he died. (painful) i didnt even have him 10days before he came down sick, i took as soon as he showed signs of being sick, but 3days later he was tired. what can i do to make the seller responsible i know there is a law, that protects me.. I have had this tank up and running with two filters on the top for about 6 months or so. I have 3 neons, 3 zebras, a china alge eater and a plecostomus. I have been doing a 20-30% water change once a week and i cant get it to stay clear. I feed my fish once a day and only a little pinch (sometimes i don't think that enough food for them). I have add gravel from my other tank to it thinking that would help but it has not. Please help!!

Is there such a breed as a "Red Nose Pit?"
Around here it seems to be the most desired dog, I dunno if it's a redneck thing or just a thing with the lower class in general *that may be stereotyping, but every stereotype has a base and people that truly live it, and around here the stereotypical are everywhere* I say lower class because this is a small town, and not in a quaint sense of the words. It's small because there's no work, those that make the good money either comute or are drugdealers, it's neither opinion nor stereotype. But everyone seems to either have or want a "red nose pit" and I can't for the life of me find any sort of breed standard online, which leads me to beleive it isn't a breed any more than a calico cat.
I haven't seen a full grown "red nose" in person, but a friend of mine had a puppy around 6months old and it was cute as a button, but I think that of most of the "pit bull" breeds, but then they grow up and things change.
Anyways, does anybody know?

Why do all the cats in neighborhood choose to hang out at my house? Do my cats invite them over? It looks like one of those multi cat kitty litter commercials over her. They're not strays, they all go home eventually but it's kinda weird.

We recently adopted a 4 month old male chi. He won't eat unless I feed him by hand. I don't want to get him started in the habit, but I know if chi's don't eat frequently their blood sugar can drop dangerously low (hypoglycemia) How can I get him to eat on his own?

i know that she is still a kitten, but she is so bad and she does not seem to be learning. she is always tearing stuff up. she bites me all the time and even makes me bleed on a daily basis. she is not mean i think that she just does not get it. i have a vet appt for shots in about a month. can i ask for a sedative or something to calm her or will the vet think that i am nuts? do they make anything for hyperactive kitties?

1 small Basenji Jax Legacy Kartman he will be 3 on Dec 24th

My bettas all like the blood worms
Kitten fetches
Jax doesn't bark, he is barkless he would always runaway. He is now somewhere where he can run as much as he likes. Basenji is similiar to a Jack Russel
