I have a couple of favorites, one is the Border Collie-I have an 11 year old now. The other is a labrador, I just love that big, wild, loveable breed and I miss my 12 year old lab everyday.

American Akita -
They are loyall, Powerfull, Independent, Protective, Strong Minded, loving and courageous.
You cannot find 1st class guarding ability - 200% loyalty and absolute beauty in any other breed. These dogs are a class of there own.

Chihuahuas
they are the cutest little things! i just love how small they are...their little apple heads with huge ears...oh, it's just the most adorable thing to look at! (in my opinion)
i love how you can dress them up in little tiny outfits like paris hilton does and you can walk around with them under your arm or in a purse!
i also enjoy that they think they're so big! i heard that a looong time ago, people used to use packs of chihuahuas (like hundreds of them) to attack big animals like buffalo and stuff...i think it's so funny! when you look at a chihuahua, they look so innocent! lol
i just adore chihuahuas! they always seem so perky and energetic. some are long haired and some are shorthaired, but i luv em all!! lol
they are also easy to care for and u don't hav to spend a lot of money on food because they don't need a lot each day. u can use that excess amount of money to buy cute toys and stuff for them!

I love German shepherds. They're very intelligent, loyal animals with great (if slightly warped) personalities. They're easy to train, fun to have around, and just good, all-purpose dogs.
