It's just algae. It won't hurt your tank, it may assist in reducing nitrites in your aquarium. You can leave it if you want, or remove it if you find it unattractive. You can look into getting something that eats it, such as oto cats or amano shrimp, or cherry red shrimp.

Try reducing your photoperiod to 8-10 hours away, make sure your tank is not in direct sunlight, don't over-fertilize (your fish may provide adequate fertilization for your plants) and don't overfeed (algae thrives where there excess nutrients in the water).
