Has anyone here been involved with police dog training. If so what were you able to learn from doing that? Anything that is being used for police dogs that I could benefit from as a dog owner?

I just added 3 goldfish to a stable tank yesterday. Today 2 of the 3 are laying on the bottom of the tank. Is there anything I can or should do to help them?

My friends dog eats her cats poop out of the litter box, regularly. Why? Whats the draw for the dog? Is it harmful long term for the dogs health?

i think it is soo unfair that if you run over a dog its like you get sued!
But if you run over a cat you just throw it in the ditch.

If you have ever done that please say so.

We have a 9 week old kitten, she's really playful and cuddly. We just got a n 11 week old today. Our little girl we named Ella, and we named the new kitten Max. Max has hissed at Ella and he Ella then back. Is this normal behavior for kittens just meeting eachother. I have never owned a cat before, I've always had dogs, so I was half expecting them to start playing right away. Will they become friends eventually, or I am better off giving Max back?

I have a four month year old dachshound. Hes pretty well potty trained.. My boyfriend usually has to work long 10 hour shifts. Me on the other hand, Im a waitress and sometimes I have to work longer than exspected. So its hard to let the dog out as frequent as possible on SOME days. (not everyday is like this) Anyways I was wondering how long would it be okay to lock him up in his cage during the day, with no food or water or very little? He seems to knock it all out of the small dishes attached to the cage. Also if I leave him out of the cage during the day he chews up everything and does end up going potty on the floor, even though he is trained its like he wont hold it outside of his cage when we are not home. How long is TOO long to keep him locked up during the day?

i have a 6mth old long haired kitten which i am allergic to. Can someone please advise me on what i can do about this or where i can take her for re-homing. i am trying to get help from my doctors and the vets but they are not very helpful. they have advised me to say away from her which does not help as she goes everywhere in the house and sleeps on anything she pleases, mainly my pillows on the bed or on my side of the bed.

My male cockatiel previously abandoned about 6 years ago is fine. He taught me a lot about his kind. Tomorrow I will pick up an abanonded female. I have read about the quarantine period, but right now I NEED TO KNOW do I keep the cages? Across the room or can they be within 2 feet of each other? She will be definately stressed coming from her harsh outdoor environment to a Cockatiel friendly environment. Looking fowared to the quarantine interaction period and got a camera video to record these next few months. Any advice and any site that I have not located are greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have a new cat from 2 months now she is around 4 months old. I have this problem when the cat is making pee she is doing it in the litter box, but when she makes the "big thing" (you know what i mean) she is making it outside from the litter around one and a half human step from the litter box. Can u tell me is it a way to make her doing the both things in the litter box and is it a way of somehow make the place that she makes the big thing with something so she dont go there anymore because she is making it at the same place (but outside from the litter box, but at the same place)

all tips will be helpfull!

What method can I do to reliably tell my order in the 'pack'? I want to make sure I am the alpha so that my dog follows what I say, but I am not sure the best way to test. My dog, most of the time, obeys commands, but from what I have read that is not the best way to tell who is the boss.

Any suggestions?

I have a 7 month old 8.6 lb. Yorkie/Chihuahua mix. I need to find a way to keep her from eating cloth items. I bought her a blanket and she's eaten holes in it. I bought her a pet bed and she started in on eating that last night. I don't mean chewing and shredding, but actually eating material. I don't buy her soft toys because she chews them all in a matter of minutes.
