Questions along that line come up a lot in the 'pregnacy" category, and get an awful lot of 'yes, my cat knows' answers.

Mine has been seeming rather protective, to put it mildly. I'm watched, and followed, constantly! And the requests for extra petting, etc, almost made me worry somebody was concerned about not being the baby of the house anymore...

Cats can sense hormone releases. They are smarter than people give them credit for. My cats can tell when I don't feel well.
