Pets - 3 December 2006

She is a very laid back pup and has been since I brought her home. She played in the beginning, but it takes alot of motivation from us to get her going. She eats, drinks and mainly sleeps. Her stool is slimey...she is slightly thin, so I am feeling like there might be a worm issue, so that I am taking care of tom. any ideas from anyone???

She is bitting off peices of a poinsetta (christmas flower) but is putting the peices on the table.It has a milky substance leaking where she bit it.

I have 3 pair of finches in a very large cage on my screened in porch (florida) and today I noticed one of them has a fairly large sectionof feathers pecked off her back. Why is this happening? I have had them for two years and this has never happened.

I've told this story b4 about the stray kittens under neighbors porch. I'm afraid they r gonna freeze. They r wild and won't come near u. How can we catch them? The s.p.c.a. don't have any available traps until 3wks. They will freeze by then they are only 3 mths old at the most. I put food out for them everyday. We put a cage down w/food in it and snuck up behind it to close the door and they r so fast, u can't catch them. They sense when ur even near them. How else can we catch the lil sneaky buggers?

I have an 8 month old kitten and a 2 year old cat, they get along great and love eachother. But when I feed them, the 8 month old will push the other out of the way and wont let her eat. It doesnt matter when the other one goes to eat, or if i put seperate dishes out. Whenever the 2 yr old goes by the food dish, the little one runs in front of her and will put her head in the dish. I don't know how to stop it I have tried a number of things (squirt gun, loud noises, seperate dishes) I am wondering why she does this and how I can get her to stop, my older cat is losing weight! Thanks!

I had a wooden carrot hanging on the side of my rabbits cage but it got in her way so I just sit in on the ground in her cage. Today I noticed a part of the plastic that it hung by was biten off. Quickly I opened her cage and searched all over but it was nowhere to be found. I next assumed she swallowed it. What happens if a rabbit swallows plastic?

I have a full grown 3 1/2 yr old Chihuahua mix who is housetrained when i got him...i am his foster mom until he gets adopted...I let him stay out when i go to work, and usually he is fine...but lately i have found pee stains in places and i don't know why or basically how to stop it...he does it when i'm gone, otherwise he is fine...and its not like i can discipline him when i'm not here...i don't want to keep finding things ruined by his pee...what should i do?

We have always kept him in our 2 car garage at nite because he chews everything up in the house. Tonite it is too cold, so he is in the house. I am afraid he will chew up the computer cords or the christmas decirations. What can I do besides stick him in the bathroom to prevent him from chewing everything up. I have an 8-month old male chihuahua. When you look at him square in the face, his eyes appear to be a greenish/yellow. But in certain angles his eyes appear to be very red -- in color, not like blood-shot eyes. He looks like a devil dog! He has white fur and when he gets tired the skin around his eyes, nose and mouth becomes very pink. He's not an albino dog, is he??

You see i have 2 rabbits. One male and one female. I want to get them spayed and neutered. But i still want the female one to have babies. If i spay the female will she have babies? If i neuter her will she have babies? I want them to have children but i want them to live a longer happier life. What should i do. It goes with the male one too.
