The question is do you have a home for these bunnies to go to?
Every year there are unwanted bunnies that need to go to a home. Once you spay or neutered a male they can not have babies. Please fix either one of them. Do your part as a responsible rabbit owner to keep the bunnie population down. A rabbit can reproduce every one, even after giving birth a bunny can become pregant again and she could forsake her litter.
Here is an organization that helps find homes for unwanted rabbits. I hope you reconsider about them having babies.

hunny you Spay a female and Neuter a male. If you Spay your female she will never be able to have babies. If you Neuter your Male he will never be able to have babies. When you Spay a female or Neuter a Male the vet takes out the reproductive organs. If you do not want your rabbits having babies yet I would suggest putting them in separate cages. Good luck and have Fun with your bunnies!!!

If you want her to have babies than don't spay the female or neuter the male. If you don't want them to mate than you get the female spayed and the male neutered.

Spaying and neutering removes all reproductive organs from the animal. Spaying is the "lay" term for females, neutering is for males. They cannot reproduce afterwards, but as you mentioned, it does give them the ability to live a longer happier life. By removing the influence of the sex hormones, their risk of many cancers is drastically decreased, as are many of the undesireable characteristics associated with breeding.

If you spay/neuter your rabbits they will not be able to have babies. You could always breed them once then have them both neutered (you can used the term neutered for both males and females).

Spaying is taking the female and removing all reproductive organs, eliminating any chances of ever having babies.
Neutering is taking the male (although this term can also be used with females) and removing all reproductive organs, eliminating the chances of ever contributing to having babies.
Spaying and neutering is healthiest and most beneficial.

Spaying means taking out her uterus and ovaries, so no, she can no longer have ANY babies after she is spayed. And neutering means removing the testicles, which produce sperm, so no, he can no longer have babies after being neutered. But spaying and neutering are a good idea for their health.
And are you sure you want them to have babies? There are so many bunnies in the world, and you will have to find homes for all the babies. And if you decide to keep them, then you will have to get them spayed and neutered too, to prevent even MORE babies. Good Luck, i hope you decide to spay and neuter your bunnies! It is a good idea.

o good lord. Too many rabbits out there already! Please spay the female and neuter the male. If you want babies, get them from a humane society. 90% of domestic bunnies that survive to adulthood end up being dumped outside where they die a terrible death or in shelters where they are euthanized. Please do the right thing and do not make any more bunnies! -dd

spaying is for females/neutering is for males. Once done, it makes them sterile, which is the reason for having it done. If you want them to have babies, don't do this. If you want to control how many times they breed, keep them seperate! Rabbit multiply FAST!

When you get them spayed or neutred ( just different proceedures for each sex) you render them sterile, thus incapable of having babies. Before you decide whether or not to get the proceedures done, figure out if you can handle 8 or 10 new rabbits each 3 months, or if you have a market to sell them. If not, they will get sick, and starve to death. If you can't look after them, your best bet is to get your bunnies fixed. Its not like they are on the endangered list. Most caged rabits are notoriously bad parents.
