We adopted the neighborhood stray a couple years ago, and true to his breed, he is quite high-strung. He loves most people who come over, but there is one guy in particular whom he can't stand and will bark nonstop when this guy makes any noise, stands up, etc.
This guy thinks it's kinda funny, and will glare menacingly at the dog sometimes when I'm not in the room, and playfully take an attacking stance and act like he's coming after the dog, which doesn't help!
Keeping him in the bathroom with the door shut is an option, but it's not any fun when he's used to being next to me.
Is there something that has worked for anyone else that I can try? I'm sure he needs obedience lessons, yes, but I'm open to any other ideas. Thanks!

My pomeranian will grab a kibble and run all the way across the kitchen into the carpeted dining room and eat it, and then repeat, a dozen times. Is linoleum hard on the nails or something? I know it's not just her either because our last one did the same thing as well as my sister's dog. It's funny to watch, but it's kind of confusing as to why they do it. Thanks for the help!!

I am looking to find a nice indoor rabbit hutch/cage for a bunnie or two. I don't like the wire bottom kind, since it can hurt the bunnie's feet. So am looking for a nice one that I can build or buy that is not too expensive that has a nice solid floor and plenty of room for the bunnie(s) to move.
Any info would be great with links.

Thanks!

Our cat is a Manx and they are bred with no tail. She constantly has, for want of a better description, dried poop stuck to her hindquarters. I am wondering if anyone knows how to either eliminate the problem or how to clean her. I've tried washing her, but she doesn't like it so much. Any suggestions?

Just wondering, how are animals treated when they are sheared? (for wool, alpaca, mohair, etc.)

I have a dog that has long hair and she is partly outside sometimes and she always stinks. She sleeps in the house but I have to give her a bath 2 times a week. I don't have the money all the time to get her groomed so I take it upon myself. She knows when it is bath time because she runs and hides and it is a struggle. Do you know of anyway to ease her into knowing that I am not trying to hurt her but I am doing it because she smells?

Me and my sister have decided that a parrot is probably the best pet for my mother. At first we thought parrotlets might be the key, since they are quiet, and can bond well. A cockatiel would be the first choice, but it is too loud for her apartment. A conure might be suitable, or even a budgie. So far those last two seem the most likely. She needs one that will bond with her, keep her comany, not be hard to care for, and that will not be too hard to handle as I will not be there to help her out with it except every few weeks or so. So a small breed seems best. Also, talking is not a priority at all, and we would buy a hand-raised baby for sure!

Usually when I feed him he eats all his food real fast, every bit of it. Today he ate but didn't finish his bowl like he usually does, he is acting normal behavior besides that, could he be sick?

Should I take his bowl away or leave it out for him?

Everytime I leave the house he chews the couch. I've tried putting him in the crate, but he screams. We live in a townhouse and I'm afraid the neighbors will complain. Any ideas?

I hate to post another "help with a name" question, but I'm truly at a loss. My boyfriend and I are getting a small black and white, female cat and are having a tough time with the name. I was hoping to come up with something that goes with her look. Like I said, she's small, black and white. She's missing most of her ears due to frost bite (ya ya, I know there's some good ones to go with that, but we won't be using any of those lol), and her eyes are the deepest, darkest blue-green color. They're amazing!! Any names that work with the color of her eyes? Her name at the animal shelter right now is Emerald, but I don't really like that.

Thanks for your suggestions :)

She would probably lick the area because she has been scratching the itchy portion with her nails. Some of the hair has been scratched off. She is a docile, non-biting type animal and we love her very much, but I am the sole income of my family and cannot take her to the vet with every ailment. She does Not cry or whine about this situation and is a very happy dog, but still need to clear this up for her.
