i always wanted my own cat, but never got one. we got a dog, and i like dogs more because they mind you and they are great companions. cats pretty much do their own thing. for the most part cats dont need as much attention as dogs do. i love persians though. the grey color has always been my favorite. i love both cats and dogs, but since i have my dog, im happy.

I've had both all my life and they both have their pros and cons. Right now, I like cats better just because I don't have the time for a dog. Cats are pretty independent, where as dogs need to be social and exercise. As far as best dog breeds go, I like golden retrievers because they're a well rounded animal. I've never had a special breed of cat, they've been barn cats and they've all been great.
Final word
Cat to hang around the house with
Dog if you've got the time and energy

Which do I prefer, dogs or cats? Either one is fine. Which do I have? Cats. After their owner abandoned them, they adopted us. Which have I had? I have had both. Which do I think is cuter? This is impossible for me to say because it all depends on the breed and the appearance of the animal. And what is my favorite breed? I don't have any among dogs or cats. If I have a choice of animal, I would say horses.

I prefer dogs to cats. I like their personalities better but I also like cats. I wouldn't have them together because dogs like to raid litter boxes and I don't like indoor cat potties.
If I lived in the country I'd like to have a few cats too.
I think it's all a matter of preference as to what is cuter. I think when they are kittens and puppies they are all too cute.
My favorite breed? I love my mutts. They are all very different and I appreciate their differences.
If I went purebred, it would be German Shepherd Dog. I love their loyalty, the way they guard children and their families, and I love their intelligent and inquisitive nature.

I prefer cats. I have three cats. I have had dogs and cats. I think they are both cute. Heinz 57 variety. I feel they have the best personalities then the pure breed, and are easier to train and most of the time smarter then the pure breed.

After a lifetime of having both dogs and cats, I can definitely say I like cats better. My family has had different types of dogs - poodles, labs, curs, fiskes, and mutts. We have also had different types of cats - longhaired, shorthaired, and calico. I like to have animals that don't need your constant attention 24 hours a day, and as much as I hate to say it, that is the kind of attention dogs like. But I do like playing with dogs if they aren't mine. My favorite breed of dog is blue heeler. I once knew a blue heeler who is the coolest dog ever. He didn't have half of his teeth because they had been kicked out by cattle, but he was independent and when you needed to go to work, he would help you. Man I miss that dog.

I Love all animals they are each so cool in theyer own ways if you take the time to learn about them. Lets take cats for example.. They are very different from dogs in the way they think, in the wild cats live a very independant life they don't look to another for leadership or for security unless they are kittens of course. You have probaby heard people say cats are stupid or stubborn but thats not realy true. The reason why cats can have a harder time catching on to or learn what we want from them is because they brain that nature has given them does not desire a leader and wants to mostly live alone they don't need another to guide them. I am not saying cats can't be taught anything but they are much harder to train and they have a very short tention span, but I think cats are still very inteligent animals... Dogs on the other hand have pack and teamwork instincs they want a leader who they can pay attention to and who can guide them, they have a much easyer time focusing on what we teach and want from them cause the brain nature hase given them desires a good leader to follow, Teamwork or to even be leader themselves the feed on acceptance and praise from the oh so wise amd mighty boss. I like dogs best because I like how they want your leadership (if you are a good leader) I feel I have a stronger connection with my dogs. Both cats and dogs love food/water, afection, play and sleep of course (=. To me they are both very cute and lovable. For cats I like siamese, dogs I like golder retreivers or Huskies.

Always remember this phrase, "Dogs have masters, Cats have servants". I am a dog person hands down. Not saying I don't like cats, but dogs are just the better partner.
