I have 2 male cats that have been peeing on dirty laundry, but tonight I washed my sons bed sheets & I put a littel bit of amonia in the wash. Then tonight one of the cats craped on the bed!!Did they do it because of the amonia or maybe they were mad at one of us ? Is there something I can buy to spray on things so they wont chew or pee on our things?

1. Keep goldfish in bowls
2. Keep bettas in betta vases under 1/2 gallon
3. Overcrowd their tanks
4. Put oscars in tanks under 100 gallons
5. And most importantly, WHY do people think fish are just disposable pets? They might seem that way if you do the above. Fish have feelings too. Imagine if you were a goldfish that wants a big nice pond and you live in a puny bowl and die in 2days of ammonia poisoning!? How'd that feel?

Does anyone agree with me on this? DON'T get a fish if:

1. You won't keep it in a proper environment
2. Under or overfeed it
3. Won't care about it

WHO agrees? Come on peeps!

I have a Yellow Lab female dog, She is four years old.
She has missed her heat cyles... alot.
She has only had 2 her whole life. One was when she was (oct. 1st) and she has her second one when she was three(September 1st) and she hasnt had any since. that we know of anyways...
She dint have one this fall, but she is getting fat, we brought her to the vet(cause of something else,(NOT THE PREGANT THING) and they said she could be having a false pregnies.
this was back in beggin of noveber. she has gotten a littler bigger. She hasnt got with a male so we know 98% she hasnt got mated.

The other question what else do you know about heat cyles?

She had a perscription for antibiotics. It helped, but now we have no meds, the symptons are back. We can't afford to take her to the vet. The receptionst at the Vet said "it seemed she had allergies, and that animals get allergies just like humans. She suggested I get an over the counter "human allergy" medicene and just give her a tiny amount and see if it helps her. My cat is also very congested. I would like to know what you think about that, and if thats a bat idea. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank You, Reed-L

I am aware that a microchip can be placed in a pet for identification purposes, e.g. with name, address, phone, etc. But, I'm wondering if there's such a device available commercially (as is available for an auto) that can be activated if a pet (dog or cat) is lost (or stolen)?

He is a 2 year old and is fixed. He did not do this as a kitten. He not only kneads on me, but he also kneads on blankets and other cloth items. He has been doing it now for a few days and he doesn't do it when he wants to lay on me, he'll do it and then jump off.

When I was 10 years old, I half owned (not half leased) a 3yr old Paint Gelding, named: Red. I've been looking for him for the last 3+ years. I've finally found him. But...the last 3+ years, unsure of his where-abouts... his previous (more then one) have abused him. And probably almost went to slaughter. The person who has him now, is keeping him forever. But from what she's telling me, he has extremly bad trust issues, gets really tense when someone new is on his back (even though I'm NOT new, but it's been LONG TIME SINCE WE'VE SEEN EACH OTHER). And gets worried about his mouth.

Now when she said some of his new....personalites that have grown on him since he's been abused...The trusting, the tense'ness, and the worried about his mouth.... how is this recorrected? She won't let me ride him, due to liability and stuff, but I would like to know how this can be fixed. I know he'll never been the same horse again, but he deserves a second chance. It's not fair..

thank you

I adopted an 8 month old kitten and recently she has been making this crying/howling meow and chirping a lot. She has not been spayed yet (making her a vet appt. tomorrow), but she is not exhibiting any other signs of being in heat. She just had a check up 1 month ago and she was healthy- any thoughts about what may be causing this?

I have a brittany mix, I nor my family is ever home during the day hardly to take her out to go to the bathroom for like 8-10 hours. I get mad because I don't thingk it is healthy for her bladder and it is not fair for her to hold it in. We don't have a doggy door, I just feel bad because I only take her out in the morning and about twice at night before bed. Is this healthy. I don't want her to have bladder problems or anything. Thank you.

I need someone who has a tried and true method or a product out there I may be able to spray my tree with (it's artificial) prior to hanging ornaments to discourgae my cat from playing with the ornaments. Please do not suggest spraying him with a water bottle, because that'll only work while I'm home! My friend was able to find a bitter apple spray to spray on different items to keep her dog from chewing stuff...is there any kind of spray like that out there to repulse a cat? I'm thinking if I could spray it with something that will offend him (but not me nor my company) then he won't even think of going near it! Or if not a spray....any other ideas? He's 7 months old and is very playful and curious and smart, too! Any ideas out there or useful sites about cats I could visit? Thanks (I'll also be chosing best answer myself)

It is so painful. I never knew i could love a dog so much. She had a tumor in her hind leg, we took her in to see what it was when we received the bad news. They said they could amputate her leg but the cancer would still keep spreading. We decided to put her down to end her suffering. I could see it in her eyes that she was ready to go. When they gave her the shot she was so peaceful. Its just so hard to go home and not see her there anymore. Please pray for our family. She loved my dad so much and my dad loved her.

My dog is always waking my family up in the middle of the night, sometimes 2 or 3 times, sometimes to go the bathroom and sometimes just to play, and we do let him out before we go to bed. My mom always gets up to let him out so he doesn't go on the floor and now its become a bad habit that he has. How can we get him to stop doing this?

OK, so my dog went mild on one side. Lets say that I submit the radiographs to OVC and they pass them. Or lets say that I resubmit them to OFA and they go "fair". Should that dog REALLY be bred???? Isn't the hip status questionable enough that the dog in question should NOT be used??? Should a "fair" dog be used at all???? Is there too much "playing around" to get the result that is favorable?? And is that really good for a breed???

For those who have dogs do you let your dogs sleep on the bed? I had a zoology teacher tell me once that not to sleep with your dogs. Do you know why that is?
