My cat is the fluffiest cat I've ever seen... and sometimes if she hears something or wants to be petted she'll just stand up like a gopher and stay that way for quite awhile. It's hilarious! Does your cat ever do this or is my kitty just a weirdo?

We had to unexpectedly go out of town last week due to an illness in my family. My sister-in-law volunteered to house sit and stay with our two dogs while we we gone. She ended up getting mad at her b/f and then decided after we had left that she didn't feel like staying at our house and taking care of our dogs...all because she was mad at someone else. Well, we found someone to come over and let them out and play with them for a little while each night but one of our dogs is 10 minths old and still has accidents if she's not let out a few times during the day. She is a 100 pound Saint Bernard and her messes are big! Then our male 3 year old Shih-Tzu would go over and pee on top of where she went at. When we got home it smelled so bad in here. It's terrible! I can't afford to have the carpets cleaned right now and she also wet on three of my children's beds.
Are there any products out that REALLY work on pet stains and take away the oder so that they don't go in the same spot again?

She has lot one main front tooth as she is old in her age ( 16 human years ). She loves kangaroo cat meat but the smell is foul and a plain diet of that isn't healthy for her.

She can't really eat cat biscuits because she can't chew food properly because of losing a tooth.

Is it okay to feed cats pasta?

What do you suggest?

okay people if a guy on tv known as Cesar M a dog whisperer corrects his dogs, people are going to correct there dogs, I correct my dogs and they learned not to do what they did again, one correction equals less times they will do it again and they still all love me, I grab them by there scruffs and shake them and say no firmly like the dog whisperer and they still love me, so why shouldnt I correct my dogs, I see no emotional or aggressive behavior coming out of it and they still act the same way and everything and do what I ask quicker and know I am alpha over them, the only person my dogs dont listen to is my husband because he doesnt correct them, so tell me what will I gain out of not correcting my dogs if they are still the same? because it cant be cruel if they have a guy on national tv correcting dogs and showing you how and the results from it, because if it was I am sure he would have been arrested by now.

I have taken the dogs to other vets and the vets say they have no problem with big dogs. When I show up they are surprised how big they are and scared of them. So it's hard for me to relax my dogs. I need to know someone who is comfortable working around them and knows what they are doing. Any suggestions?

We'd like to find a small to medium size family dog (three kids age 6,8,10). My wife is slightly allergic to dog's, so we'd like one that would have little or no affect on her.

Can you recommend a dog for us?

What can I spray on hard surdaces like tiles and ceramic to discourage dog sraying. My dog marks his territory in 3 places very often and I tried spraying the deterient that we use for carpet but it doesn't work on hard surfaces. Also what is good for cleaning it up so it will smell better.

I have the shaggiest, hairiest, stinkiest Golden Retriever. Love him, but his hair is EVERYWHERE and I cannot keep it under control. I'd like to get him clipped/shaved, but I am wondering if doing so would hurt him, like sending him out into the cold without a coat on. He is mostly an inside dog (his choice), only going outside to do his business. I live in Reno, Nevada, USA, and it can get down to 15-20 degrees or so. Any other reasonable suggestions other than shaving him?

I have inherited a 20 month old spotted saddle horse. He is beautiful. He was living with a different family member that did nothing with the horse but provide the small area for it to live. I have been educating myself alot about horses and have broke some of the bad behaviors, and gotten to the point of being able to place the blanket and saddle on his back. When I did this for the first time he just stood their and had no reaction, and has acceped the saddle since without problems. Does this mean that the horse will be able to break easily? Also when Rebel is tied for his daily grooming he will take his foot and paw at the ground. He does this several times during his 30 min grooming. He doesn't appear to be mad, ears are forward. He just had his hoofs trimmed by the ferrour. What does this mean when he does this? Is it that he just wants loose?

One of my four cats will let out this "mewowowow!" everytime I sneeze. It doesn't matter where I am in the house or where he is. If I sneeze four times in a row, he does it four times in a row. My boyfriend could sneeze up a storm and he gets nothing from the cat!!! If I fake sneeze....nothing!!

It's pretty darn cute.

Do any of your pets do this, or other weird things?

I love Basset Hounds, and have often considered owning one. However, I've heard from many sources that they have a distinctive "hound odor." I love dogs and can deal with the occasional smelliness and messes, but I'm not sure I want to live with a constant odor. Can anyone give me some insight into this? Thanks :)

I've taken my dog to doggy parks but he just barks and has even jumped up at other dogs. I'm so afraid he's going to bite some ones dog. He'll sniff a dog and be quiet for a two seconds then all of a sudden he'll get aggresive again. It would be really nice if he can play nice with other dogs with out me having to be scared of him biting them. Is it okay to put a muzzle on him until he's use to the other dogs? He's a springer spaniel.

My cousin took his dog to get spayed not knowing that she had given birth. While there is only one puppy, the mother is at the vet and I have a dog that is nursing seven of her own and is letting my cousins puppy nurse. The problem comes when the real mom gets home. Is she going to be able to nurse this puppy after being spayed?

My husband gave me a Toy Poodle when we were dating, were married now and everytime that we get into arguments he threatens me of hurting the dog. Why does he do that? My dog whose name is Stewie I love him I treat him like my baby and my husband doesn't like that sometimes. I like to sing to my dog I like to talk to him like a baby and my husband hates that. My dog runs away when ever he sees him but when my husband calls him he just goes up to him but with his tail between his legs. Other times when my husband pick him up he'll just pee all over the place. Other times when I get home from work I see the dog tighed up outside and I hate that because my dog has white fur and he gets dirty very easily and sometimes when I pick him up he has flees on him. I take care of him I feed him and I play with him. Am I over doing with the dog or is my husband just being mean?

She is about 9 weeks old and i cannot even walk through the house without her attacking my feet and ankles. she is sooo bad. she will not stay off the coffee and end tables. she knocks everything off to watch it fall! i cannot pet her she kicks and scratches and bites. she is not an angry or vicious kitty and she is not nervous or scared-she is just playing, but that wild look in her eye never goes away unless she is sleeping. she even tries to climb walls and doors. she is out of control! what should i do? i have tried the spray bottle of water, but she does not care. she will be soaked from head to toe and still be on the table.

Why is everyone posting questions about Gang and Torbay??? It seems a lot of you are paying a lot of attention to them, yet complaining about what they say.

Not only does he pluck but he rubs the top of his feathers on the cage if he isn't allowed out. I try to let him out as much as possbile when I'm home but he's a wanderer and won't just stay on his cage so I have to watch him constantly. The vet has to give him shots every month to help w/ his anxiety when I go to work. He is very attached to me. He is a very ahppy bird though otherwise he just want to get his way. What can I do? I want him to be pretty!

She was given to us as a young kitten and we have probably had her for about 6 months now but she is obsessive about food. We have two cats and they have a huge bowl of biscuits out all the time so it's not like she has to wait for her food. But as soon as you go anywhere near her, she runs for her food bowl and starts scoffing the food like she has never eaten before. We are going through nearly 3kg of biscuits in a week which is way too much for two cats. I have tried limiting the food and it doesn't make any difference. She has milk and wet food once a day also! I just don't know what else to do with her? My ears are wide open to suggestions!
