Cats love to play with wagging dog tails but when the dog decided to play with them things change the cat runs and the dog thinks cool lets run.

I have found that in most cases the dogs I rescue that don't do well with cats just need to get used to them. Some have never seen cats so its more of a curiosity and then wanting to play.

Its a common misconception that cats and dogs dont get along....they do. They are wary of each other, just as all animals are.

As far are tail wagging issues, dogs and cats show their emotions through their tails. Like a happy or excited dogs will wag its tail.... or a cat will flick the end of its tail if its agitated. Its all about communication.

I do not know what you are talking about!
We have both dogs and cats in our house and they all get along fine now.
The cat was in the house first and when the dog arrived there were a couple of days when the dog tried to take over. The cat would not back down and everything settled. When the next cat came it was a kitten so there was no struggle for dominancy in the house. The the second dog came along and she was a puppy so again no problems.
I believe it is usual for animals to live in a pack situation with a dominant leader. That is all they are trying to do is find out who will be the pack leader.

It's not necessarily that they dislike each other, but yes, there are certainly some communication errors between the two species.
For example:
Tail: Cats "wag" their tail when they're agitated or angry, dogs when they're happy.
Back: Dogs lie on their back to show they "give up" and that someone else is stronger, when cats do that, they want to play (and some fight that way, too)

Of course, there are exceptions ^^;
A friend of mine has a dog (Terra) whom we're convinced is thinking she's a cat. Whenever she's fighting (playfighting, usually), she shows her belly. Then when the opponent comes up to her to "claim the victory" so to speak, she goes to attack with her claws XD

dogs and cats can get on absolutely fine, however they do communicate differently and different things mean different things to a dog and a cat like tail wagging, however that doesn't really cause major problems, just bemusement, lol

I think dogs and cats dont like each other because they see each other as competitors for space / food / owner's affection etc. It's no different than one dog seeing another dog as a competitor. Plus when a dog challenges a cat it's first instinct it to run away, then the dog's first instinct is to chase

I'm guessing not, but your question is really vague (can't really tell if it's a serious question or not either)

Anyways, my Rottie loves cats, especially kittens. She trys to mother them. The funny thing is she really isn't too fond of other dogs, but she loves all the cats!
