We have had him for 2 weeks and at first he was really good using the litter tray. We have now moved it to another room and he would much rather wee in the corner of any room that he is in. Is this normal, will it stop and what can I do to prevent it without moving the litter tray back as my husband can't stand the smell. At what age do male cats start spraying?

My friend has an 11 week old Pomeranian (4lb) and I have a JR x Shihtzu (8lb) who is 4 months. My dog is generally fantastic with other dogs, but for some reason keeps wanting to bite the Pom and is growling at him. Weve tried calming both dogs down and giving them treats when behaving well etc. but every now and then the Pom will annoy him and he'll be aggressive with him. Its more than just puppy play, and we've tried intorducing them on neautral ground. The pom seems to be quite indifferent, but the Jr x finds it hard to relax when he's near! Ive asked a similar question before about this prob. Also ive been mostly keeping them both on leads (which I know isnt ideal) but I cant trust my dog to be OK with this tiny pup.

it just makes me wonder why most deadly attacks done by dogs are by pitbulls? a toddler in our place got killed by their own dog. what's wrong with them? loving & feeding them doesnt seem to work at all.

He is very tall - very long, mainly white with very distinctive ginger markings, he has ginger rings on his tail, a very pointed and angular face, quite big ears (very very pink inside!) he has gold eyes. His traits are funny - a very low quiet meow which he uses rarely, a very high pitched excited purr, he is super clever can open doors and get in anything - he adores dogs and is forever playing with next doors or infact any dog he can find - he is fearless with dogs, he also loves water - he will sit on my belly with his feet in the water when I am in the bath - he loves hose pipes. he is very naughty too, bullies the other cats a bit (I think thats the ginge in him though!!)

So what do you think???!

Why is it so terrible to slaughter a horse? We do the same to cows? Chickens? Do people even realize how much we consume that relates to animals? Ever have marshmellows in your hot chocolate? Did you know they are a beef byproduct? Slaughter is a necessary process. Where would we dispose of all these 1000 to 1500 lb animals if we didnt send them off to be eaten? I would much rather send my horse down the road when she gets old than to find her out in the pasture either dead or dying. I have sold many horses to "meat" buyers, and I have no regrets. As for making the big bucks, get real maybe $100 for an adult horse. I really get upset with the people who are against horse slaughter, they must have no real sense of what they are proposing we do with these horses. Set them free?? That would be cruelty, they would starve to death, break bones and suffer, be eaten by mountain lions... Who is going to put up the $$$ to support the thousands of horses that would be set free?

I'm thinking of taking them both to the vet at the same time, and quite soon. One is a very new resident here, and doesn't have his own carrier yet.

Can I just bung him in a cardboard box?

Er. With air holes, etc. We don't live very far from the vet. He does have claws, though -- will the box make it there intact?

We have two baby bunnies, I would say between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 months old. They eat all the time. And I have stated taking the food out of their cage during the day. They dig in it and most of it falls on the bottom. They are out of the cage for at least 4-6 hours a day hopping around the kitchen. And that is when I feed them. Are they spose to eat all the time or what???

i see a lot of advice on training your dog to go outside but it's almost like it's for people who don't really have to leave home for work.

so i'm curious how some people do it. does your dog just hold it for the time you're gone for work ? does it have a doggy door if you live in a house?

i've always used wee wee pads (they're great and really do work, just takes time and effort) since i lived in an apartment and do have to work during the day but curious as to if dogs really hold it for 8 hours or more until their owners come home. i mean i can't imagine making my dog hold it for that long and think that holding it is bad for their bladders, just like humans. And if we don't need to use the bathroom at a certain time, we just can't "go".

When our son left for college, we were left to care for his Fox Terrier. That has been 4 years ago. The dog is 9 years old. We recently moved to the lake from a large farm and he must now be confined to a small pen all day and tethered at other times. On the occasions when he is not penned or tethered, he runs away, jumps on people walking down the road, etc. He won't mind, he won't look at us directly..even after boarding him for a week while we were on vacation, he didn't seem to care that I picked him up from the vet, he just wanted to be let outside...it could have been anyone coming to get him. He isn't agressive toward us but he doesn't seem bonded or affectionate - but there is something demanding about his presence. My husband wants to find him another home. I feel too guilty. The dog is hyper and troublesome and neither of us wants to be the first one home or his caretaker. What can I do?

My kitten has been throwing up all day. I was not worried earlier on because I thought it may have been just a tummy upset, if he has eaten something dodgy, (he has a habit of just eating anything which he can fit into his mouth, edible or not) but it has not subsided. He has been really subdued since this morning since it started, and I am starting to worry. My mum says to wait until morning before taking him to the vets, but I am not sure.
I have started to notice clumps of fur on the carpet as well, in the last day or so, but I did not think much of it until now. He is a housecat, so it can't be anything from outside, and he has no contact with other cats, apart from our other cat, who is also a housecat.
He was neutued on Friday, but has been fine since then until now.

I am worrying over nothing??
