Fish are easy to breed. I have 2 55 gallon tanks and a 20 gallon tank. Everything that I have put in my 20 gallon tank in pairs seem to have mated... sometimes it is just the tank.

Question is, do you have a local pet store that will take your young fish? sometimes they have to be 6 months old before they will take them, and maybe, just if you are lucky pay you 50 cents each for them. ....

As far as the other fish eating them, your pretty must sol on this batch, unless you have time to cycle another tank, or get a tank separator. The tank separator usually cuts down on the filtration system on your tank and causes it to need cleaned more often.

" Some breeders remove whatever the eggs are laid on into another tank and give the father a replacement site (wood, pot, PVC, etc.) to guard. Although I have not bred these fish, I would think it would be better to keep the eggs with the father so that he can aerate them and tend to them. The babies can be removed after hatching"

They have these plastic boxes with small holes at most pet supply stores that you put in the tank and then put the mother fish in to have the babies and then protect the babies from other fish in the tank. Some come with a net that covers the inside until the babies are big enough not to fall through the holes.

Plecos have not got infants (fry), they're egg layers. The eggs are guarded by making use of the daddy until eventually they hatch and start up up swimming around. Then he can do not something greater for them. the female style of takes to the air and does not care. Angelfish are sought after fry hunters and in the event that they recognize there are fry in a tank, they are going to spend all their time searching for and ingesting them. If it would be a significant undertaking to seize and eliminate the pleco fry the finest element to do may be to go the angels and the shark to a diverse tank in case you have one. If not, seize the infants and positioned them in a fry internet that hangs interior the tank so as that they are going to be interior the water they hatched in. it rather is going to be simpler to feed them interior the internet and simpler to bathe it too. whilst my plecos spawn, I flow the cave, the daddy and the eggs to a diverse tank so the fry can hatch and not complication approximately being eaten. whilst they're out swimming, basically flow the cave and the daddy back to the significant tank. I even have 2 spawning pairs of bushynosed plecos actual now, one albino (pink to white with pink eyes) pair and one pair that the female is brown and the male is albino. remember, in the event that they spawn as quickly as, they are going to proceed. The small bushynoses are infamous for making a great number of infants whilst they're in sturdy subject. provide them a small cave to get interior and additionally you will could separate them to end them. sturdy good fortune with saving the fry!

it might help to take the angel fish and shark out of the same tank so they won't eat the eggs again!
