I have 2 gold wonder killies (can be somewhat agressive) and a gold gourami. I want to make my 20 gal tank more visually interresting by adding different colors (or at least one) and having fish that don't just hang arount at the top. And eating algae would be useful, too.

what I mean is they carry a mouthload then walk away from their dish and throw it down on the floor then eat from it.

he's scratching today. Is that normal or have fleas now become accustomed to Advantage? Is there something natural that works just as good? I didn't actually think he had fleas. He was at our vet kennel for boarding for a few days and just as continuous precaution I put the drops on him yesterday. He has mites in his ear as well, I think. Tips on that would be great. Again, he didn't have fleas before the kennel.

I am writing because my cat has only one eye and i want to know if i am worrying myself over nothing by being concerned that he will eventually lose sight in his other eye, too. are cataracts and blindness the usual when it comes to cats aging?

I horseback ride but my previous riding instructors weren't certified or anything, so they just taught me and a couple other people and never instructed me about this stuff. I also just started taking lessons from another lady and she says my balance is way off. My first lesson we had to pretty much start from scratch because I was having a hard time telling the horse what to do, applying pressure, reins, etc. I like riding but feel discouraged about this, and of course it's hard to practice if she lives 45 min. away and is hardly available. I don't own or lease my own horse either that I could practice on (i'm only 15). Any comments would be appreciated! Thank you

I have loved dog sense i was very young.I have always breed my females once or twice, not for the money. but to sell Good AKC dogs for a lower price. I had collie pups years back and now I have one Red toy poodle i breed because they are great dogs. Now i just bought two English mastiff puppies which i want to breed next yaer. English mastiff have been in our family forever, never bred but always had for a good pet. Well i am getting the feeling these big mastiff breeder try to discourage small one time breeders to ever breed. Why is this? They say don't breed unless they are checked for hip, eyes, heart, and bones that could go bad. also i would have to send blood sample to UofM? what is this about? I have 2 good beautiful spoiled English mastiff and one big active AKC male english mastiff to breed. all up to date shots vet check regulary. And only want $600 for male or female pups. Big breeders might say not cham bloodlines no good dog? Or is everything they say true about breeding?

I have a 9 month old American Eskimo puppy named Captain. He shreds everything! He nips while playing. When he's excited, he'll follow us around and jump and bite at our shirts. He has plenty of different chew items-toys, rawhides everything. He has chewed the corners of my chase lounge down to the foam and the back skirt on my couch doesn't exist. Its extremely frustrating! We've tried "Shoo!" on the furniture but it stinks so bad Febreeze won't even cover it up! We try to distract him with a toy. He jumps up to get papers off the tables and shreds them to bits. I've had plenty of dogs in my life but this one is by far the worst. He's a beautiful dog and funny and fun to play with until he starts going after the clothes! We take him for a run and a walk so he's exercised plenty. Any suggestions?

well, my dog almost choked on the cap from my chapstick, and I was SO scared he was going to swallow it, but thank god he didn't. For future reference, what should I do if my dog really IS choking?? especially if I cannot take him to the vet (i'm home alone a lot so I'd have no one to take him)

One of the best "talkers" I've ever seen was a mynah bird that a friend of mine had. Now I heard that it's illegal to sell them. True?

Iit was my turn to slop out my daughters hamster(one of the tail less variety)I did this in the bathroom when i managed to drop it into the toilet it made a plop noise which was what alerted me to its peril I then rescued it from the toilet and pegged it out on the washing line allowing it to drip dry my neighbour complained and the rspca took little hammy away should I have hoovered its cage instead?

i was on my way home from work last week and just passing next doors drive when i heard a scuttling noise past my feet then a crunch id only managed to tread on the tail of their pet hamster.I felt so bad and didnt want to confront them as theyre a bit random so i brought the wee thing into my house and fed it some mushed up bread and water, which it seemed to like.Anyway next day it seemed fine so i put it back through their letterbox.Got home tonight and the sick ****** next door have sewn some thread through some part of it and hung it on the washing line and i think its dead!!Will the RSPCA do anything about this? What should i do?
