First warning is a flicking tail, a sure sign of anger, next will be arching its back and raising its fur, to make itself look bigger and intimidate its enemy. Finally, growling and hissing, at this point back away, quickly, unless you want shredded skin and a trip to the ER.

My cat has a mad half hours every few days.
He runs round the house really fast growling. Its quite funny to watch.
After his finishes he comes and sits on the sofa and goes to sleep.

In all seriousness here, this is what my cat does.

He lays down with his head staring at me with a frown on his face, yap! a frown.

Have you ever seen a dog mad? He sulks. This is what my cat does.

Hissing, I would hope he would never get that mad.

Depends on the cat. Now in my house...

Jazzy: Mutters and grumbles under his breath and storms off.

Gizmo: Hisses and runs off.

Christabelle: Lunges for me, hissing and growling, especially when she gets groomed and doesn't want to be.

Pasha: Ears back, flops down with his back to us, swishing his tail.

Shadow: Hisses and stalks off.

oooh! My cat Baggy rarely got mad, but he used to bide his time and dish out his revenge when least expected...a quick slash of his Freddy Kruger claws as you went past about 3 hours later!

Usually raises its fur and tail, arches back and hisses/spits. When it's in a mood like that steer well clear, unless you want shredded clothes!

The cat arches up its back and puffs up its fur to make itself big. It also hisses and swishes its tail.

When you go near them, they will attack you.

they lay back their ears and start hissing at the perpatrator and eventually, let their instincts come out ( they bit and claw you)... so, try not to make cats mad.
