Are you kidding!? How about a St. Bernard or a Great Dane. Those start out the size of a Guinea pig and end up being a small horse!! There are many giant, or extra large breed dogs that start out itty bitty and then grow to a huge size. Go to puppy find.com and you can view all the breeds. They are great!!

Well, my Great Dane was 9 pounds when he was 6 weeks old now he is 7 months old and weighs 125! So, is that small enough and then big enough? He is very gentle with my kitten but very rough with my husband so (for more reasons than this) it is a great breed, too!

I have friends that had a Siberian Husky - she was a really nice dog - when she was a puppy she was small enough to sit on people's laps, but once she grew she got to be a pretty big dog.

Newfoundland's!
I breed Newfoundland's so I should know.
They start off weighing 1lb 2oz when born, and they get big fast.
My male Newfoundland weighs 200lbs at 14 months, they do not stop growing until they are 5 years old.
This dog is the freaken huge King of them all!
Good Luck

Normal.

All dogs are small as pups. Smaller breeds have smaller pups, but even in large breeds, the pups are born weighing only about one pound.
