You don't say how old these puppies are. Why are the pups no longer drinking her milk? Are you preventing her from visiting them for some reason? She should be allowed access to her puppies as long as she is producing milk. It is cruel not to let her do this while she still has plenty of milk. She will automatically start to wean her puppies herself in time by growling at them to back off as her milk supply is diminishing. If you are weaning the puppies now it is still in order for the Dam to go into them after every meal to 'top them up'. This provides her with relief as the pups suckle her. I would assume she has been given a lot more food while she has been nursing her puppies. You can now start to gradually decrease the amount so she will not be producing so much milk but still allow her to visit her puppies whenever she feels the need. You can sprinkle a tablespoonful of chopped fresh parsley on her meals.for about 4 days. This will aid her milk to dry up quicker. (Tried and tested)

As pups get weaned they suckle less and less, so the b1tch produces less milk. If she is producing lots of milk I would suggest that the pups are not ready to be fully weaned. By the time pups are fully weaned at around 6-8 weeks, she will not be producing much if any milk at all.

Milk production will stop on its own. As the pups stop nursing the milk will replace less and less each day.

Nature will take care of this, dont worry. Once the milks gone it will take a wee while longer for her teats to go back to normal.

An old fashioned remedy (which works) is to add a LITTLE Epson salts to her drinking water - don't give too much or she'll end up with the runs!
