I named my betta "Tenzin", in honor of the Dalai Lama, thinking it would be a nice balance to his natural tendency for aggression. I also placed a small, fish-safe Buddha statue in the tank.
Within a week, the fish had completely eaten the Buddha's face off.
Guess that Dalai Lama thing didn't help much.
Good luck with the name! Bettas are fun.

Hmmm How bout Horton {from Dr. Suess Horton hears a who} Our two fish are named thing one and thing two. When my son was little he named all our pets toothpick! I have no idea why! LOL

When ever i named my fish they died within 2 weeks and when i didn't name them they lived a lot longer! i would suggest not naming it!
