I'm gonna give you some credit and say the fish are not dead. If they aren't botias and are having trouble swimming down, try feeding peas. They probably have air trapped in their gills or bellies which makes them too bouyant to swim. If you don't fix it fast they will die. Could also have to do with crappy water Ph, get that fixed as well.

Are you sure they are sleeping and not dead? This is normally a problem with the swim bladder and is a sign that the fish is in need of some medical attention.

Fish only turn belly up when dead. Sorry to tell you but you
did ask.

it may be a disease called velvet if they have yellow growths near the bottom of the fish, it can be treated if the fish has only just started doing this and can be treated, or it could be swim bladder where the fish swims upside down or in the worst case it could be just dead.

What fish are they?

If they're botias this is normal as it is with some synodontis species. If they're not these species it sounds like you have some problems. If they're floating upside down at the surface by Friday - they're probably dead

if u see their mouths openin and closin you might hope theyre alive but seriously stressed out upside down swimming fish might just be keepin it tight shut ! if they go white eyed and flaky then its a HUGE chance the little australian fish may have had it :( jokin aside, its probably swin bladder, quick trip to the pet shop,treat the whole tank asap cos upside down swimmin will stress them and kill them quicker than the swim bladder :) x

Dead, my dear!!! Flush them...;

If you are serious then you really need to look at all aspects of your tank...filtration, heating, chemical levels, cleanliness etc. Dont get any more fish before you check out all the above...;

I hate to break it to you but I think they might be asleep forever if they are 'sleeping' belly up.
