One of my four cats will let out this "mewowowow!" everytime I sneeze. It doesn't matter where I am in the house or where he is. If I sneeze four times in a row, he does it four times in a row. My boyfriend could sneeze up a storm and he gets nothing from the cat!!! If I fake sneeze....nothing!!
It's pretty darn cute.
Do any of your pets do this, or other weird things?

He's a short domestic mix (lloks tabby/calico)...he also loves car rides and when my boyfriend comes to get me at work and the cat (Munkee) sees my office he starts meowing "meuum". He sleeps in my chest all night and if I even dare roll over, he wakes me up to yell at me, and then promptly snuggles up on the other side.
I've another cat who licks your face like a dog, wags his tail, begs and drinks out of the toilet.
I've another who loves to lick plastic bags and coos intstead of mews.
Lastly, I have one who will seek out any stinky smell and sit there making a stinky face and mewing until you get to it and clean it up.
Ahh..they are wonderful creatures.

Hi there...apparently there a few cats who will give meow a "bless you" when their human pets sneeze. Here's some videos of two cats who do this too:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VykkZyilFX0
I have one cat who loves to flush the toilet multiple times to watch the water swirl away after using it (he's toilet trained). Here's another video of kitty who also likes to do this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WofFb_eOxxA
My other cat loves to give licky kisses and also likes to lick and chew plastic bags. However, I discovered through research that the latter is a disorder called PICA. Here's more on this disorder: http://www.vmth.ucdavis.edu/home/beh/feline_behavior/pica.html
Both my cats have learned how to shake paw, wave hi/bye, sit, sit up, lay down, roll over, jump through hoops and hurdles, take apart a 3-D puzzle, use the human toilet, go for walks on leash and so much more to list. However, they have a cheating advantage since I'm an animal trainer. But everyone loves them shaking paw when they come to greet all of us.
Anyhow, did you know that all cats will make the stinky face, which is called the Flehmen response? Cats (along with snakes and a few other mammals) have a magnificent organ called the vomeronasal organ, most oftenly known as the Jacobson's Organ. It is located inside the mouth, just behind the front teeth, and connects to the nasal cavity. Opening his mouth slightly enables the Jacobson's Organ to open up the ducts connecting to the nasal cavity. The appearance of the cat as he brings air into the Jacobson's Organ has sometimes been likened to a "smile," other times to a grimace (stinky face or "ewww yuck!"). The Jacobson's Organ seems to play a large part in the sense of smell of a cat. More on the cat's Flehmen response: http://maxshouse.com/vomeronasal-flehmem.htm

Your cat sounds like he's quite a character! I have 3 cats and while none of them bless me after sneezing, if Austin is nearby it always scares him. The other 2 cats don't seem to care, but it makes Austin jump. I don't know why he does it. He's 5 years old and you'd think by now he'd be used to it. Cats all have their quirks, but that's what makes them so adorable!

Our cat used to eat silicone caulking from the sides of the bathtub. She'll chew on toast crusts, has tried celery and has even enjoyed the odd piece of popcorn...but she won't eat shrimp...
Cats are truly amazing creatures whose weirdness knows no bounds!
Does our cat bless us after either of us sneezes? Naw, she just turns over and sleeps on her other side. She's such a goofus but then, that's all part of her charm...

Is your cat part Siamese by chance? For some reason, all of the Siamese cats I know do something like speech. Boxer dogs and dogs that are part boxer seem to do the same thing.

Lol that's cute. My cats only give me resentful looks when I sneeze, as if to say "How dare you disturb my precious slumber."
