I have 3 female and 2 male guppies in a 10 gallon tank. I keep the water at about 78 degrees, amonnia 0 nitrite 0 dont know nitrate (clean the tank 10-20% every week). the ph is around 7.7 or 7.8. I keep aquarium salt in the water...the fish are flourishing and doing well. WHat else do I need to do to get them to have little baby guppies? Oh...they are fed both tropical crisps and freeze dried blood worms...have a healthy appitite...already know that when I come home they get fed and when I wake up they get fed...

My cat absolutely LOVES mandarin oranges from the can, we eat them almost every night. I only give him a couple segments, but I was wondering if it could be dangerous in some way for him since we have them almost daily. Has anyone heard anything?

Hey.
We have had our puppy for about 6 days now, he's a 9 week old Chihuahua/Jack Russell, and he seems to be biting everything, I came home from school and my mom was real mad because he's been biting her. Lately, he seems to be biting anything he can, just playfully I think, and we've been trying to teach him not to bite things he isnt supposed to, such as encouraging him to play with his toys and trying to teach him what 'no' means. He's been being quite vicious with his bites too, and he won't stop. We're honestly at our wit's end because we do love him but it's hard not to be mad with him when he's constantly biting us. Is this just his way of playing or is he quite an angry puppy? What do you suggest I do?
Thanks in advance
Michael

There are people out there that really dont care about dogs or orphans. It "IS" a scam. I get people calling me from Africa, NY, NJ and everywhere else asking me if I would be interested in "CHAMPION SIRES AND DAMS) for as little as $200.00. I once actually entertained the guy and heard him out. He knew the standard and even had a good sales pitch. But, I used the advice my father gave me and you should take too!!!!!! IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. IT IS BECAUSE IT ISNT!!!!! It is a SCAM and you WILL lose your money! MONEY IS ALL THEY WANT!!!!!!!!

My husband and I adopted an dobie from our local humane society. When we got her she was abused and malnurished, besides this she was all around healthy when we took her to our vet. She seems to like my husband more even though I am with her most of the day. My problem is that when ever we leave her alone, She chews and eats my things, even though we keep her well stocked with chew toys and everything imaginable. Every thing that she has eaten she has digested. I have done my best to keep my things away from her, But she still finds something. I have diciplined her but it doesn't matter. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I can do to prevent this. I am worried that she will stop digesting and end up very ill.
Thank You

Last night I noticed that sometimes my dog would squint and his eye was a little red and watery. Other times he had it opened fine and it looked fine but this morning it looked like he was squinting again. After doing some research I think he may have conjunctivitis. I can not get to the vet until Thursday morning though. I saw on another posting someone mentioned using a homeopathic liquid called Collodial Silver to help keep his eye clean until we can get to the vet. Does anyone know anything about this stuff or have any other suggestions.

Please don't respond with the obvious such as "take him to the vet".

Thanks for your help

I have a litter of Beagle puppies that are 8 weeks old. 4 days ago I noticed the runt had lost weight and wasn't eating and when he would drink he threw up. I took him to the vet, and he didn't know what was wrong but he gave me some worming medicine and some other medicine to help sooth his stomach. Well, the next day he was fine, but 2 of my other puppies are now sick. I have went through the whole worming cycle, 1CC a day for 3 days, and they are still throwing up bile with diarhea and they won't drink water. They also threw up the last dose of medicine. Do I keep giving them the worming medicine? Is that normal to throw up worming medicine? The vet gave my 1st sick puppy a shot of "fluids" tha left a bubble on his side until the morning. Should I take my sick pups to get that shot?

I just bought one of those rinky dink little ponds from walmart, and plan on only placing 2 Koi in there due to its size. The question is, how hardy are these fish, mostly, whats the lowest temperature they can stand? Thanks.

The cats were using the litter boxes in the one spare bedroom for 2-3 years, then after the basement was finished, I moved the box to behind the basement, in front of the heater and they kept peeing & pooping in the one finished & carpeted corner of the basement. We now yanked the carpet & refinished the basement, again, with vinyl flooring and they still pooped & maybe peed on it. How do I keep them from doing that, or on carpeted floors upstairs in the bedroom? Second question, how do I prevent the cats from peeing in between the liner & the box?

Once my boyfriend moved in, my cat stopped laying on me to sleep, wanting to be with me (except when I am in the bathroom), and marks. I know why he marks and my boyfriend has been in the house for 5 months now, but the cat isn't going back to his old ways. Any suggestions?

I've been really worried these past three days because my budgie named "Bluebell" has been an escape artist. She has found ways to get out of her cage withouth me noticing.

The problem is she is not tame and she is determined to come out every day and land on top of my cockatiels cage. lol

What is the best, easiest and safest method(s) to put her back in her cage after she has had a fly around the living room?

Thanks....

My dog had puppies on Nov. 20...delivery was successful. Saturday, a week later, I noticed a puppy not doing so well and wasnt gaining weight like the others. Would not latch on to a teet, so I started warming him and gave some Karo Syrup to pep him up. I then stomach tube fed him a few times every 3 hrs. and started nursing on his own. He was doing fine. Would watch him closely and make sure he was getting his share of milk since the others had an advantage over him cuz of their size. I was weighing them and even that puppy was putting weight on. I thought excellent.. on the road to recovery...WRONG. I noticed he would latch on but wasnt really sucking..just falling asleep so I gave some karo to pep him up. That didnt work and he was getting chilled so I warmed him up, remind you these dogs are in my house in a whelping box (room temp. 80 degrees) w/a heating mat in the corner. I then stomach tube fed him and then 3 hrs later did it again.
